I’d love us to go for a Macari type so would be Paul Cook for me.
Then I’d go with
The Bees manager Silva

Michael Laudrup. His contract is up soon.

Just hope that Coates bites the bullet and gets rid of Lambert ASAP.
Maybe Jokanovic if Fulham miss out, or the Brentford boss. Not sure about Paul Cook.

Any bugger. Can't be worse than now.
I gave Lambert a chance but it's fair to say he's actually managed to take us backwards since he came here.
However we are stuck with him so record low championship points it is, and hello League One in a years time.

He needs to go for the sake of next season. A bad start and it will be carnage again. Which leads me to my point.
I'd go for Graham Potter but he wouldn't be a quick fix. He would require time to adjust to a new level, time to sort out the mess that we've been left with and time to bring in his own people and develop. You'd be looking at a 5 year plan at least, but it would be with a view to developing the club in a new ethos from top to bottom, with a long term goal in place. That goal would be to get back to the Premier League, playing a different style of football with a different recruitment policy. It would take a huge amount of time to do it right.
I think that's what we need to do but i'm not sure the fans have it in them to get behind a project like that for so long.
Many would be after his guts by Christmas time if it wasn't going to plan.

Big Sam Glenn Hoddle Marco Silva. Big Sam would get us up but it would not be pretty. Hoddle i would love but could we attract him now & his he interested in returning to management. Marco Silva could be worth a shout but maybe to much of a risk.

If Fulham don't go up I'd be after Slaviša Jokanović. Unfortunately Lambert will most likely be our manager and knowing Stoke if we would replace him it be Mick McCarthy

Big Sam all day long. Don’t care about pretty and he would put the fight back in us. Think he’d revel in getting the old Stoke back.

Van Gaal or somebody of his ilk. I’m sure he’d rush to a Championship job! We have to realise where we are now. LVG, Silva, QSF all a total pipe dream now in my view.

Yeah true let's just ask to be given another relegation and save the mither. We are poor old Stoke and no fucker would come here. Well said PC.

Didn’t say for a second I wouldn’t want someone bigger - but they will have better offers, particularly in World Cup year when there is always churn. I wouldn’t want a divisive figure like LVG but would take QSF in a heartbeat - why would he not take a top division job in Spain or elsewhere.

I'd like to see us resurrect that project we put on the table for QSF. we can't lose sight of who we are and what we want to achieve because of one relegation. We have to look upwards and bring the good times back.

We need someone young and hungry with a completely new approach and who can utilise the expensive academy we currently rum (might as well sack it off if not)
graham potter would be interesting.
I'd seriously be thinking of getting a Rory delap type his first main squad managerial role.
