Both on 5 live & Sky he sounded very unconvincing as to he was the manager chosen to take us forward?

I would be happier if he announced he was leaving.

It would be so much better for everyone if we went into next week knowing that we were starting to rebuild.
He has to go.

He was saying things like "they need to bounce straight back" but then when asked whether he'd prepared for next season he said "we have started" I don't think it's a done deal yet.

He said this the other week, people convinced themselves that he was going then Coates confirmed he was staying. I've always had doubts that his deal was a 2.5 year one, and actually a 6 month one with a 2 year option. Nothing is making sense though.

No other PL club would have employed this joker. No other FL club would keep him with his record since he took over.

I've been saying all along he needs time and his own signings etc
But on today's display. This do or die thing and we're looking to win etc
I just don't see it or feel it.
Might be knee jerk but I think I'm in the fuck Lambert off camp now. Results business and all that. But we're devoid of any plan. Subs and swapping players in different positions etc. Total shambles.
QSF is free now. Get him in. Keep our Spanish lads and hopefully get straight back up.
I don't think Lambert has what it takes to get us back up

After listening to the Everton fans tonight I can see Allardyce leaving them and either ending up here or WBA

If he has anything about him at all, he will do the right thing and step down.

The points we have lost from being in front and ahead in games is criminal and the fault has to lie with the manager. Yes I believe if the board moved earlier to shift Hughes, or bit the bullet and spent big on a couple of strikers in January we may have just scraped through this season but for a man whose two redeeming features seem to be getting us fitter and better organised he can't defend our position or run of form since January surely.

It will be a complete and utter disaster if we start in the Championship with Lambert. It will be an utter dereliction of duty if Coates doesn't move early and sack Lambert and go balls out for an ambitious coach/manager of any nationality!!! He should make a statement of intent, sack Lambert this weekend and source achievable replacements. All this 'give Lambert 10 games' is nonsense. I've seen enough in his 14 games this season as to what an absolute dinosaur this man is and the thought of giving him a decent budget to try and rebuild the team is quite frankly terrifying. Just sack the useless fucker tonight.

Surely PL has to be let go, no? The team has been absolutely underwhelming under him, to put it mildly.

Did anyone on here actually want this man as our manager ? a desperately poor appointment to compound the desperately poor decision to keep Hughes and his team at the end of last season, both are useless and both have played a significant part in our relegation, however the biggest contributing to it is the board of directors and Carthorse.

Speaking hypothetically, if Lambert were to get sacked Monday, could you see him managing again in either the Premier League or the Championship?
I certainly couldn't, which kind of speaks volumes.

I don't think Lambert has what it takes to get us back up There has been no game plan, no plan of attack, set pieces have got worse, the shape of the team in two banks of four hitting it long is brutally archaic. I never really thought we would get relegated until the home games against watford and brighton and the way he set the team up. He is tainted with failure. Anyone who knows their football history knows you have to start afresh in this situation

He's a goner.
He had a 2 year contract if he kept us up. He hasn't and he will be gone in a few weeks.
Shame he couldn't turn things around but being scared of your own shadow was never going to help us.
I quite like lambert. Its a shames hes a bit crap...a lot crap in truth.

I didn't want him but I have liked his approach to the job. He has instilled discipline, tried to sort the defence out and been positive about the club and the area.
However, his results are now in there with the worst Stoke managers in history and he has taken us down. Regrettably, he should be fired.
New era, new manager. If he stays it will end in tears.

We need to rid the failures from the top like West Brom have. But no, we'll just continue making the same mistakes.

He simply has to go...... but after the cock-up made this time last year I.e. keeping Hughes in place after last season followed by the absolute shit show of a process that ended up with Lambert here, I'm afraid I have no confidence that the right decision will be made.
