What makes him worth 10 million, he had a couple of good games, motm performances even, but he's shown he has limitations, doesn't have a lot of pace, can't put a cross in, isn't great when shooting, obviously he could improve but 10 milliion seems way over the top, I would have though 7/8 with 5 being the base fee and the rest being odd ons etc. Young, potential, played in the Premier League, a full international. Anything else? Yeh, can't cross, can't shoot, has next to zero pace and errr not worth 15 million

Why do so many players go backwards when they come to stoke. It's a genuine question but it has always happened, even under a relatively decent manager like Hughes sobhi didn't fit in, there have been so many that we have all been overjoyed but we just knock it out them, is it formation, training Gudjohnson, kitson, tuncay, sobhi there are so many that we just turn them to shit!! How do we stop this happening? Can you mention any player we've bought who has developed? I can't. N'Zonzi and Arnoutovic spring to mind

Potential has a value. Bang average championship players are 10 - 15m now who have no resale value. But someone who's played in the Premier League and is an international football and is young isn't.. If we get 8 for him and spend 6 of it on Mcclean someone somewhere needs to look at themselves and the decision they have made.

Tuncay didn't fit in with Pulis' defend from the front, he was just the wrong type of player for that side. Kitson didn't suit our football either. We need to get the right type of player for the football we are going to play under Rowett. Doesn't matter how good a player is, if they aren't used in the right way they will always look shit. Doesn't mean we've made them shit, seen plenty of players shit for one club but brilliant at another. Juan Seb Veron was a prime example of this, however it does seem to happen far too often at Stoke, flip side we’ve had players like Fuller, Sheron, Lenny ect that have been immense

We do seem to have more shit than most though.....recruitment ?? Or, to put it in other words: we might have a too narrow and unflexible way of how football should be played. It wouldn't surprise me if Ramadan will do wonders at Hudds. Like Jesé and Wimmer at their new clubs ... and Berahino and Affelay ...sooner or later.

I should feel sad that a young up and coming player is leaving when he could be a fixture in our hopefully promotion winning campaign.
But I don’t, which speaks volumes really as I had high hopes for him. His chronic lack of pace will always hamper him however much he improves technically (currently good) and with his decision making (currently poor)

Meh, really not arsed.
His agent is quality isn't he? "6 or 7 Premier League clubs interested" ends up at Huddersfield...nice one!
Won't be losing any sleep on this one.

Buying players not suited to our football.

Actually gutted about Sobhi leaving. Gets a lot of stick on here, mainly because most Stoke fans couldn’t pick out a talent if it kicked them in the bollocks.
A few years back we had ‘fuck Nzonzi off- he slows the game down too much’. Now he’s one of the best centre midfielders in the world
Before that when Arnie signed it was time to fuck him off too- ‘too inconsistent’- now rumoured with a 50m pound move to United
This year Ramadan has got dogs abuse because his end product isn’t up to standard. Which is fair enough. But he is 21- to put that into context he’s a year older than Ollie Shenton- what’s his end product like nowadays? I’m pretty certain Ramadan will go to better things, so good luck to him. He certaintly wasn’t helped here by Hughes and the fans.

Someone tried to tell me he’d be ‘world class’ in a few years on this message board.
I stand by the opinion that he is the single worst footballer I’ve seen in our squad.
I’d carry him to Huddersfield for a tenner

He's done the same for them as he did for us. Been the best player in a team, stopped them being relegated and got them to finish lower mid table. The last part of the last sentence is the most ridiculous thing i've ever read.

We have been so patient with him. I actually cannot even recall him getting an assist let alone a goal? What does he actually offer? In spite of that, he's been very much protected relative to other players in our side who have done far more but have received more vitriol. Choupo and Diouf spring to mind.

Certainly found his shooting boots there Same number of goals for West Ham this season as for us two seasons ago, and what, 3 more than last season? He's literally the same. If we had him playing for us this season we'd have finished higher than West Ham did.
