Lovely guy but absolutely shit football manager. We are condemning ourselves to a prolonged spell in the wilderness if the insane decision to retain his services isn't immediately reversed.

Whether he's good or not he is definitely unlucky. And as Napoleon said better a lucky General than a good one. I knew his passionate arm waving would become an annoyance. Passion is never enough, remember Keegan and England, he had the good grace to admit he was out of his depth and resigned. I doubt Lambert will. He said he had 15 games so should stick to that!

We're going to get a whole team of runners who can't play football next season if we keep Lambert aren't we?!... Can't wait.

How Ireland wasn't brought on when we were chasing the game is a scandal on its own.. using only 2 subs another..Likeable guy but zero faith in the future under him..How the board can defend one in 14 is beyond laughable..

He's done the best with what he had and within the bounds of his football style.
I'd thank him and sack him tonight.
As chairman I'd then resign on the grounds of two managerial disasters and an abomination of a CEO and Technical Director.
Still, what's all the fuss about Peter?

I said as much PL is done and gone with a record as the worst manager in Stoke City history. He just can't keep his job not even PC is that mental.

What is his style of play actually?. We neither pass it or lump it, we just seem to do nothing?

I don't agree that Lambert is unlucky. We only scored against West Ham because Hart dropped the ball. We only scored against Spurs because Lloris kicked the ball straight into Diouf and even our goal today had an element of luck about it. His tactics and game management are awful and he has to pay the price. And in defence of Chris Kamara, he wasn't very good as a manager but he managed the club at a time when there was no money, there were fans protests and he didn't have a very good players to manage. He was actually quite good when he managed Bradford.

This is Stoke, he will still be in charge and doing it on a shoe string budget with all the old guard still there.
It's gonna be miserable. The football we play is horrendous.

It's impossible his record will dictate his sacking. I really want to agree with you but have no faith that the owners will get rid. His record is unbelievable. Imagine if Hughes had done this over the last 14 games (I know people will argue it's all his fault but frankly to only win 1 game in 14 with any team is piss).

He wouldn’t even get the Swansea game for me. Fuck him off, he’s a coward of a manager.

The useless fuck is here to stay,he is cheap,a Coates wet dream. Get used to it. If he manages to keep us up for the next 2 seasons, don't be surprised if his contract is extanded.

How did appointing Chris Kamara come around?
I was 10/11 when he was appointed and wouldn't have known him from Adam.
And then I know what I know about him now, seems a lovely fella but an absolute joke. I'm presuming he's always been like that? Why would you give him a manager's job?

He should have gone at 5pm last night
He has failed miserably and demonstrated zero reason why he should even be considered as our manager next season
Coates has completely lost the plot over the last few years and I fear that there's more misery to come

yep the initial observation is looking pretty accurate in truth
Paul Lambert's looking right now like a sorta 21st Century Alan Ball Doppelganger
"look what Ive won as a player" -- etc etc

He’d done well at Bradford in his first job and got them promoted. As I remember he was seen as a talented up and coming manager. Plus he’d already played for us. I thought it was a decent appointment at the time

PL was trotting out his time warn mantra again after yesterdays game with Palace to anyone who cared to listen that 'had we played like that all season we wouldn't be where we are now'.
But it utterly belies the facts of the matter which are that first of all we didn't play well yesterday, 40/60 possession, 7 shots to 13, 1 corner to 7 all in favour of Palace in what was a vital home match for us and second of all 10 points from 14 matches is 0.69 of a point per game which would trend to 27 points over the course of a season.
He may well have been unlucky at times, but we didn't need an unlucky manager.
In the end if he is staying I'll get behind him but by heck with hindsight it looks like the change we made in January was the wrong one.
