Unless I have missed something / misheard he was very non committal when asked by sky sports if he was the man to take us forward.
Just said the fans are fantastic and the backing from the board is brilliant. Also that we need a rebuild etc.

He simply has to go. Sympathise slightly with him due to the lack of fire power upfront, but 1 win from those games is nothing short of a disgrace, players and staff alike Winning one game has little to do with Lambert's appointment, more to do with the fact that every club we have played, even fellow strugglers, have better players and better balanced teams than us.Every other team has some pace, we haven't got pace. Every other team has a goal scorer or two, we haven't. Every other team has someone with the ability to control a ball, or control a midfield, we don't. Few other teams have the money to spend that we have, we just put clowns in charge of spending it. Wimmer!...Wimmer! Who the hell decided that he was worth £18m pounds? Same with Imbula. Hughes chased Diouf till he was finally signed, and some good that one did us.Shaq...brillant player, but only plays when he feels like it. Arnie, one we should have clung on to until he was out of contract, instead we sold him to one of the team sending us down.We hang on to players like Johnson, Fletcher (a freebie) Charlie, even Crouchie, to name but three, long after their sell by date, then wonder why we are relegated. Sohbi, full of promise but nothing to show for it. Allen, a terrier who wears his heart on is sleeve and will be a massive loss if he goes.Pieters, great player, usually played out of position. Shawcross, to often expected to do too much. Zouma, good player, now going back to chelsea. MI, good player but seems to be a little injury prone. I could go on, and no doubt get criticised for some of my comments, but I don't mind that as it's all about opinions.

Utter shocking! Johnson getting done and breathing through his arse and takes off Crouch, who was playing well. I'm struggling to remember a more ludicrous substitution, by any manager. He has to go, disastrous appointment.

This cunt relegated us, not Hughes. We were only in the bottom three on goal difference when this twat turned up. And we were far from odds on to go down at that point.

Has to go tonight - give Rooster the gig for Swansea and play the kids - we might as well now.
The plan going forward - get rid of the dead wood and the mercenaries. Bring in a young, fresh progressive manager and bring the kids into it alongside Ryan, Badou, Bauer, BMI and Little Joe, DO NOT hand out extensions like fucking confetti....

the rabbit in the headlights routine panicking and trying to work out what to do with the subs was quite woeful.
He spent 5 mins pretending to be clever but came up with nothing. Shobi decided to go for it Palace change bringing Benteke on have a chat try to work out what was happening but decided to go with the bizarre sub anyway.
likewise later on pissed about for ten mins and dies the same as previous.
He hasn't a clue, but has records galore to go his CV, shame for us they are all embarrassing ones.
You might have decent standards bu jog on Paul you inept clueless fraud of a manager

I’ve been patient but today was the last straw for me. Awful game management. We couldn’t keep the ball so why the hell wasnt Ireland playing. All we did was hoof it up for Crouchy. Why the hell did he start with 2 strikers who clearly have no understanding of each other. Why the hell did he bring on Campbell. There’s no point having 2 strikers if you’re not creating anything. I agree. I like the fact that he has instilled some discipline in the team, but I would have started Ireland today. They were no great shakes and he shit it. That said he inherited a bag of nails. I questioned the squad's quality ages ago(as did others) and was assured it was mid table standard. Please tell me what we do well?

I’m goin on record as saying, “Hughes lite” was dead on. It’s a confounding thing to find oneself saying but Hughes is a managerial colossus next to this pigmy

Don't see any benefit in him going before Swansea.
People saying he had nothing to work with have got it wrong in my opinion, under Hughes the team scored (and conceded) goals, we've also shown we can take a lead. It's what happens in the final quarter of every game, blind panic, hoofball, no one brave enough to take responsibility and control the ball.
We got exactly what we deserved with this guy in charge, it's all negative.
As a reminder we were close to beating Palace away with Hughes but in a game we simply had to win at home in front of impassioned fans Lambert bottled it.

Pretty amazing we probably only had two win 2 in 14 to stay up and we couldn't even do that.

Keeping hold of this bloke will be Coates' second major fuck up in a row. (Third if you class appointing him)

The best message the club could give the fans is sacking Lambert on Monday morning. Renewed hope for the new season and getting rid of the losing feeling. Nice bloke Lambert but uninspiring as a manager and got nothing from the players really. The dread of him next year Fulham manager anyone?

Just heard him say on his interview with radio Stoke "1 goal is never enough"
No fucking shit you fucking tool, so why do you insist on fucking us over every time we do go 1-0 up
Just fuck off out of the club, the clowns at the top won't do the right thing and sack you so please do the right thing and walk!

Some comments from the Birmingham Mail:Sean Logue: Feel sorry for stoke fans having lambert as manager. Dreadful decision to appoint him. If he says ‘we will pick the boys up and go again next week’ he should be sacked on the spot! Robbie: Good old Lambert CK: This is what happens when you employ #lambert #scfc #avfc. I did warn them Paul Williams: Wonder if Lambert will mention he played for Dortmund in a Champions League Final? Rob Jones: Glad Lambert has that relegation on his CV... distanced himself from our relegation having played a huge part in it! Ben Randall: I can’t believe he hasn’t been able to keep them up shocking manager. As a villa fan I think he was worse than the McRelegator appointment Grassroots Coach: Nothing against stokecity but we all knew they were gone once they hired him. What an absolute chancer Paul Lambert is. Get rid before he ruins you too. John Joyce: Many congratulations to Mr Lambert #Lambertmagic Vital Villa: Many congratulations to Paul Lambert. Working his magic again. Riken: Lambert. Only villa and wolves fans know how bad of an appointment that was. Matty Bowds: Stoke deserve to go down. Why on earth would anyone give Paul Lambert another job in football after his time at Villa? Villa & Broncos: Lambert is never the answer. But hey least he has that Champions League medal
