In fairness Shaq your own performances in the last couple of games haven't been that much to write home about.
Less shite talk and more action please

His comments there are surprisingly measured and reasonable.
His “I’m surrounded by idiots” schtick on the pitch would play better if he could clear the first man with a cross more often.

I would dearly love to see us stay up and West Ham relegated.
Then I would like to see the club ownership and management to have the balls to ship out every failure and backslider in the squad (Imbula, Wimmer, Berahino).
Then I would like to see a cull of the over 30s.
Then I would like to see the club get rid of every player not committed and proud to pull on a red and white striped shirt and those with an inflated view of their ability and contribution.
I realise not many may be left but so be it.

Could be a decent enough player if he played for a team who has more of the ball, but for us he hasn't been great and his goals cover that up a little. One of the positives about relegation is we lose him.

He says we've got to go to war with 11 warriors on the pitch.
Has he just talked himself into a place on the bench? There are many words I'd use to describe shaqiri and "warrior" most definitely isn't one of them.

Hopefully, Shaqiri will be as good as he can in the next two games!! He hasn't been on top the last 3-4 games.
To me, Butland, Zouma and Shaqiri are our three best players. In the best of worlds we could keep them, plus maybe Allen, Ndiaye, Shawcross and Bauer and build from there.

Another one of those players we will sorely miss and lament when hes gone
and laughably some people on here saying the championship will be a better watch ?
yes I call the premier league not fit to burn too
but theres this - sometime in the future
it will be said dolefully and wistfully :- - "remember when we had the likes of Nzonzi - Shakiri and Arnautovic playing for us ??
when we were in the premier league ?
"As compared to these fucking talentless lumbering kick and rush fucking donkeys we are watching right now "

He has said nowt wrong there. Agreed, if you read the actual quotes from Shaq rather than the conjecture around them there is nothing even remotely controversial. Here is what he actually said: “Everybody knows I’m a player who wants to play at the highest level, this is pretty normal,” he said. “I have still got two years left on my contract with this club and first we have to see what happens here. “I’m happy here at the moment and we will sit down after the season. But for now I’m focused on the two games and trying to keep this club up. That is the most important thing.” “I didn’t expect them to be champions but I wanted to see the club going forward – that to me was the most important thing,” he said. “When I came to Stoke, I expected them to be moving forward, every year getting better, but it’s not been like this. “When I came here, the coach said he wanted to build a team around me and to progress the team, maybe get into Europe. Look at Burnley now – they’re going for sixth or seventh place, which is surprising. “It’s sometimes difficult to accept but I give everything to my club and signed a long contract here so I try to give my best performance every weekend and help my team-mates to achieve something.” “Sometimes you have to go to war and Saturday is going to be like this. It’s a war we have to win,” he said. “We need 11 warriors on the pitch who are going to beat their direct opponent. It is one of the biggest game in Stoke’s history. We will do everything to win.” What not to like?

One of the positives about relegation is we lose him. That's a fair comment, it must be a little frustrating when you play in a team that averages 30% possession and when they do have possession are launching a long ball from the back in the general direction of a centre forward. That said his dead ball delivery recently has become a bit shit.

If there was a war, he would be to small to see front line. Perhaps he could go behind enemy lines as a child spy. This could be all a smoke if the result doesn’t go are way, another words please don’t slag me off in my final home game ever.

We will do everything to win.” What not to like? Most of it is reasonable - but I would take issue with his comment that "I give everything to my club." He's certainly the most talented player at the club on his day. But let's be honest his day doesn't come round as often as it should. He's scored some wonderful goals for us and had many MOTM performances. But, even allowing for the fact that players with the biggest talent often show a measure of inconsistency, he's had too many games where he hasn't produced the goods. For a player who does have a magic left foot, far too many of his crosses and corners have been well below par. In part, our management have been at fault for not having enough competition in the squad to keep the better players on their toes. But even allowing for that, there have been too many matches this season and in previous seasons where Shaqiri should admit that he has fallen well short of what he is capable of. Virtually all of our players are either not good enough or, if they are good enough, have underperformed on too many occasions - and Shaqiri can't exempt himself from the latter group if he is honest with himself.

I won't miss him when he's gone. He's not on Arnie's level when he left.
He's not said anything wrong really, but I don't agree with the timing.
He's done fuck all for a while himself.

Wow some hate for Shaq here I see.
If we didn’t have Shaq in the team this season we would have been relegated by March already- he’s been our one and only outlet attacking wise
But yeah some Stokies want Walters back instead

The Brighton game people bang on about as being unlucky, he produced a rabbit out of the hat from nowhere and he's done that on 5/6 occasions this season goals alone. There's only so much he can do.

Save it until the season's over rather that telling everyone ahead of two big games in nine days how disappointed he is that it hasn't worked out the way he'd hoped with the team built around "me"

“There have been a lot of transfers that they thought were going to help us and they were good transfers, but something went wrong. A lot of things, not only transfers. It’s not now to point the finger and say ‘It’s his fault and his fault’.”
That is the telling bit, Just shows how the club has lost its sense of direction and yet the Chairman appears to believe it is just one of those things and is keeping the same people and structure in place that just watched our demise without lifting a finger. Madness
