"Must go for 3 points" Might have been a good idea for the 36 games we've already played instead of being scared of getting beat by a few. They already have 9 wins atm.⚽

Probably they're already safe, but ... this could happen ... 0.00174% risk ...
Watford -18 42p Saints -15 41p Bmouth -18 41p Swansea -23 39p ---------------------------- Crystal P -19 38p Stoke C -32 33p West Brom -22 31p

Will someone advise Mr Lambert that we must go for three points. I think he's still under the impression that 0-0 draws will see us survive...

they are safe, no more points required. im sure they will try to win but they wont need to Theoretically they aren't totally safe. Theoretically they could still get sucked into the bottom three but that scenario would have to include Huddersfield getting at least a win and a draw against Chelsea & Man City away and Arsenal at home. Even more unlikely than us winning two on the bounce but I am still hoping so I am sure are the Huddersfield fans.

Butland Bauer-Zouma-Shawcross-Pieters Ndiaye Shaqiri-Allen Ireland-Crouch-Ramadan With the extremely limited options we have up front any line up which does not include Donkey Diouf has to be a good line up

The threat of Zaha really concerns me. I hope our defence are as good as they were against Salah to stop him.

Saying this to my old man this morning hope the diving twat doesn't try to con the ref mind you I think we'll have a plan to stop him i just hope that he doesn't play on the left leaving Bauer to mark him as we could use him going forward.

We need drop Diouf he is shit, for the last 2 games why not just play Shaq up front and play Ireland and sobhi off him. Look at Arnie now he is up top banging them in. Shaq will get probs 2 good chances and he will take them

Mate came up with a good shout, today. Could Bauer do a man to man on him (Zaha)??? Play 10 v 10! No - I don't think he could. From what I've seen Bauer is a wing-back not a full back - defending is the weakest part of his game. Had Indi been fit I'd have been inclined to put Zouma on him - see if he likes it Rrrrough!! However not sure that option will be available Yeah mate, Zouma, with his extra physicality, was our first thought too! But with no BMI and Zouma needed in the middle, we came up with Bauer, as probably our quickest player. He seems very disciplined too. Man to man is not always about out and out defending. It's often about preventing the ball getting to Zaha in the first place. In this case because he's got a man inside his shorts with him! As Palace's main (only?) outlet, if we can cut it off then I think it could just work! The down side for us though was it removes one of OUR main attacking/mobile options.

What exactly does going for 3 points look like? More aggressive play? More risky chances taken?

Butland Bauer Shawcross Zouma (presuming Indi is injured) Pieters Allen Badou Shaq Ireland Ramadan Diouf And there lies the problem. We're supposed to be winning games with forwards that can't score goals.

Let's hope Diouf has got all the missed sitters out of his system and bags a hatrick against Palace!! I like the positivity. I just shudder when I see his name on the sheet, I lke the guy, whats not to. But boy he's due to convert a couple isnt he?

My main worry now is regarding the criminal who is in charge of the match....Martin Atkinson. If Zaha does dive (which is likely) Atkinson will have no hesitation in awarding a penalty and most probably, sending off one of ours just for the hell of it.

Ireland seems a popular choice here, but not with master tactician Lambert. If he doesn’t get a game against Palace and Fletcher comes on again, then Lambert’s a bigger 🤡 than I thought.......Bayern’s team is spot on imo and should’ve been given a chance weeks ago.....0 wins in 13? Oh well, Championship he we come...😞 If Ireland had have played he would have been injured by now. He is a walking sick note. He's not capable of playing 2 consecutive games.

Palace weakness Long range shots Pace on the wing. Out for different reasons Bruno Johnson stafylidis Choupo jese Berahino wimmer We need goals Shawcross Butland Zouma ( protect net ) Diouf Badou Pieters Ireland Allen Bauer shaqiri Sobhi. Bench Cameron Fletcher crouch Adam Grant Yes, or a least a narrow win. When it comes to goal difference we can only catch Hudds, I guess. I'd be very pleased with a 2-1 win. ✌️

No it won’t dont Southampton play Swansea Yes, they do. If Saints beat Swansea. If Swansea beat us. If we beat Crystal P. It could happen. ⚽ You've missed Brighton out of that mix mate. They're on 37 points and won't get another point with their fixtures so they would go down instead of Palace.

We need a near miracle to beat them. Zaha will dive early doors, our fans will get on his back - and he'll think fuck this - and smash two past Butland. Really can't see us scoring, nevermind winning. Zaha really doesn't need to dive against us. He's much better than anything we have talent wise (Shaqiri aside) and will easily take the piss out of Pieters or Johnson. maybe you missed peiters performance on Saturday?

If he’s not fully fit he shouldn’t even be on the bench then. How do you know if he’s capable of playing 2 consecutive games? Do you work at Clayton Wood? In our situation he was worth given a chance, but because of Lambert’s safety-first tactics he’s been sidelined......Unforgivable! I’ll repeat again, 13 games 0 wins!!!
