In years gone by all we'd have to talk about at this stage of the season is the new kit! No such luck this season, I usually get quite excited about it all - couldn't give a shit about it right now, to be honest. The leaked one does look nice tbf, be interesting to see the away shirt. Not a fan of Macron at all, their relegation curse continues! Yes for the last 10 years it has been the only thing left to talk about at the start of May but not this time. I'm not a fan of Macron either, it just looks like some festering old tat off a Pat Pong market stall to me, I don't care what colour it is, the complete absence of anything that could remotely be construed as 'tailoring' is what troubles me.

Never understood those silly split collars. Basically they take a collar and put a little cut in it.

Never understood those silly split collars. For fear of appearing cynical I've always assumed it makes the shirts 2p cheaper to manufacture (30% of margin to a Bengali sweat house) since you don't have to put a proper collar on and you get it under the radar by loosely labeling it 'fashion'. I must admit I'm not sure it's a good look for anyone over 13 years of age or 9 stone of weight though to be perfectly honest.

Getting rid of Macron be a great start. That company are synonymous with relegation. Villa & Bolton the main sufferers. Noticed Deportivo got relegated from Last Liga last night & whilst Barcelona were celebrating another title win, Deportivo were there consoling each other with their Macron gear on. Release of this year's kit definitely been delayed due to our predicament I reckon. & yes, the block back excuse was squeezed out again last season but really not required and inexcusable this season. Bologna have it and they aren't getting relegated, Bolton were £168m in debt and Villa run on a shoestring and up for sale, Stoke had a chairman who couldn't see what all the fuss was about, aren't West Brom an Adidas kit? Your theory has a few holes

Your theory has a few holes You do seem in the minority thinking that Macron aren't usually associated with relegation or struggling teams Northy! Of course there will be other factors that determine if a team ends up struggling but out of all the teams who've used Macron in the Premier League over the years they've either had years of struggle or ultimately been relegated. Maybe it's a coincidence but the fact remains teams wearing Macron don't usually fair too well. Coincidently enough as I was writing this post SSN are focusing on West Hams relegation form and they are featuring when they got relegated with Avram Grant In charge in 2011 & guess what, they've got Macron kits! You mention Bologna, their hardly doing amazing in the Italian league are they.. Palace have been In and around the relegation zone majority of this season too. Remember Leeds & Charlton using Macron for a few seasons too, nuff said there! Name a team with Macron who have ever won anything of note?! It's a low end kit manufacturer who in the main produce kits for kids teams. Your point of West Brom having Adidas kits irrelevant too.. My initial point was that Macron are synonymous with relegation & I still stick by that..

My initial point was that Macron are synonymous with relegation & I still stick by that.. You're absolutely right. Of course there's no 'Marcron curse'. But the majority of teams with the brand are synonymous with failure, and often relegation. I link the brand (like Lotto or Hummel) to clubs that are just coasting along, making up the numbers with no real intent and had a little giggle when we announced that they would be the new suppliers a few years ago.

Not sure why any grown adult would be that arsed to be fair, it’s for kids really and I can only speak from experience mine have worn theirs to death this season and the quality has been really good.....

Just wondering where it is. Hasn't it normaly been release (leaked) by now? Held back I'm guessing due to marketing with the right approach. Will have something to do with bouncing back / promotion chasing or whatever. Something different to what it would have been had we stayed up when released now.

No need for a panel on the back next season? I was thinking that on Sat that cause we are relegated that maybe they had two designs to consider? One for the Premier League & an second option for the Championship???

Probably as simple as their struggling for players who are nailed on to still be with us next season to model the new kits..
& not wanting an early release/wear of new kit else it would already be associated with relegation. Sadly its probably the the best decision Stoke have made in last 12mths!!
