New kit?

The quality of the kits made today by majority of the brands are shocking. On Monday I ordered England’s 82 away shirt from Sports Direct. It cost £26.99 plus £6 postage (still worked out the cheapest). I tried it on last night and the quality of the fabric is far more better quality than the current England kit which ranges from £60-£90. I’m even tempted to get the home 82 shirt as well (Birthday next week). I saw the new Stoke kits on Monday and I was slightly disappointed with the Home shirt close up. The Bet365 sponsor close up looks shit. I think whoever decided on blue letters with an white border were pissed up that day? My suggestion would of been have a blue border (or red) and white letters. I prefer the kids home shirt as there’s no sponsor on it, so my lad will get one. Each to their own I suppose but I think the way they’ve done the sponsor is miles better than the block border that they’ve done in the past. Don't understand why they can't use the same bet365 print format on the home shirts as they've got on the away shirt, no need for any kind of background..

The training gear looks really nice but the shirts are, once again, a lousy fit. There seems to be some kind of piping across the shoulder area of the shirts so the fit is crap if you are broad shouldered. The body of the shirts are massive but the shoulders, to me at least, feel quite narrow which as a result makes the sleeves quite tight. They are like wearing a straight jacket on the shoulders then a bin bag on the body. I've tried the training tops up to 5XL and they are all the same. It's a shame because for the kids, the kits have been quality. The lack of arm badges will make my life pretty miserable for at least a week though once my youngest realises his shirt isn't the same as the players. He's even resorted to drawing BET365 on his kits now! Disappointed about your comments for the training tops. Was looking to grab a tracksuit top and training top. Sounds like they won’t fit.

[/ I didn’t mean the block border I meant the edge of the letters & 365 numbers in red.

West Brom and Burnley both have beautiful new away kits courtesy of Puma.

It is much simpler to put a logo on a plain background than a red and white striped one. I think they have done a good job on the logo on the home shirt.

The coming together of the old world of striped shirts and the new world of sponsors logos is fraught with difficulty for designers, I think of all the striped teams Juventus seem to do it best:

I prefer it to the solid backgrounds - although Juve do them better than Stoke - and I bet they are not rubbery! Bravo Juve.

It's definitely the 'rubbery'ness that finishes me off and has be heading for some item other than the shirt!

Especially like the retro WBA crest. All 3 WBA kits are nice kits, Puma have excelled for them this season. The sponsor set ups abit embarrassing in name and design but thats not Puma's fault.

Attachment DeletedJust sighted this Macron effort. Overlooking the appalling sponsor layout and overload, this green and black shirt as an away top would have been awesome & a big seller.. A green and black badge for the away shirt would look class.. Sure they could design something similar for us next season as sure we're tied in with them for another couple of seasons yet.

I've got brand new home and away shirts in ages 7-8 and 9-10.
Still in the packaging and available to a good home for £20 a shirt if anyone is interest.

Ive been calling for green and black stripes for far too long, we have done a version of most of the popular retro kits over the last few years next year it has to be......please stoke you know it makes sense. On another front it always baffles me why tgey dont put out templates and let us decide. Surely getting the fans view will mean more sales ?
