Is it simply,
Beat Palace
Hope Swansea get 0 points from 6 before we play them
Hope Huddersfield lose their next game
Go into the final game needing to beat Swansea and hoping that Huddersfield lose their last game, meaning Swansea and Huddersfield are relegated
Southampton will be involved somewhere too but are Swansea and Huddersfield our best hopes?
I half joked last week that one of our ‘wins’ would come from drawing our last three games (Liverpool, Burnley, West Ham)
Sorry if I’m going over old ground but need to understand what’s what. If Huddersfield or Swansea pick up points before the last game, are we pretty much done?

The main problem is going to be your second line.

I'm hoping for a sportsman's double with Caroline Flack and Holly Willoughby but life's a shithouse.

If Swansea will get 0 points in the upcoming fixtures, it means they will lose to Southampton who will have 35 points and 2 games against Everton and Man City

Huddy need to lose two games by 2-3 goals and only draw the other (Man C a, Chelsea a, Arse h) and we need to win our two and score 2-3 goals (as their GD is currently -29 and ours is - 33), if we both finish on 36 points. If Swansea draw or lose away at Bournemouth then we have to beat them after we've beaten Palace. We just have to win both games. Hopefully Palace are now on the beach

Despite lots of other teams doing us favours we can't take advantage.
We haven't won any of our last 12 games, nor have we looked like doing so.
We won't win the last two.
So I'm hoping that Lambert goes and we get off to a decent start and actually win a few games while playing a bit of decent football

(I think, if we need to, we could go and do a job a Swansea if it gets that far.)
However, it's a huge "if" obviously.
And could go either way; Woy's rolls around in the penalty area mob are, indeed safe and could well be on the beach. Conversely, they are (rightly) topped up on confidence and carry that over into our game.
As Leicester found out today, they can be a very decent side on their day.
It's a cast-iron certainty though that we can't go fannying around for any draws here on in.

Swansea to get no more than 2 points. Huddersfield to lose all three (easily done looking at the opposition) but unfortunately, we have to beat Palace and Swansea, then we will stay up. Don't see it happening, but lets us see, you never know. Up the Potters!

But in an alternative universe though Terry, we do find those wins down the back of the sofa and we, miraculously, stay up.
We're stuck with Lambo, yes, but we'd be in the right League and he would bound to be offski by Christmas you'd think.

Hoping that the Palace win was more about Leicester downing tools than Palace being ace. Hoping we fluke a win against them and battle for a win against Swansea.
Then sign 17 new strikers in time for next season

West Sham getting no more points could be helpful. That last minute equaliser at their place really was a sickener. If we'd held out I think they may well have gone.

We need Huddersfield to lose their last 3 and Swansea and Soton to lose next weekend and draw Vs each other. Oh, and us to beat Palace next weekend. That would leave the table looking like this.
Huddersfield 35 (but with a catchable GD) Swansea 34 Soton 33 Us 33
Which would need us needing to beat Swansea, Soton to fail to win against Man City and Huddersfield either lose or fail to win against Arsenal (depending on how much their goal difference gets hot from Chelsea and City).
It's a slim fucking hope, and palace are no pushovers at the moment. Let's just do our bit on Saturday and pray....

Too much depends on two factors: two from the four teams above us getting no more than a point until the end of the season; us winning both of our games. Since all those teams seem to have been picking up points and we can't buy a win, it looks like we're down. Love to be wrong, but I have made peace with the fact that we will be in the Championship next season.
