Here are my predictions: Butland - No, sold to Liverpool Zouma - No, returned to Chelsea and loaned out to another Prem club Shawcross - No, surprise transfer to Newcastle BMI - Yes Pieters - Yes Allen - No, sold to Southampton who give Hughes a longer contract for keeping them up Ndiaye - Yes, before a late summer sale to a foreign club Bauer - Yes, before a late summer sale to a foreign club Shaq - No, sold to Everton Diouf - Yes Crouch - No, still at the club but on the bench Of all those I only see Shawcross (age and reputation against him but my guess Burnley would have him to replace Tarkowski (sic) as they like our old players), Diouf (age and ability blocking a sale!) and Crouchie (age) Whoever is in charge will need and entire new squad.... dangerous times I don't want Lambert in charge either as I don't trust a rebuild. Maybe Potter as he has form in Sweden

If we go down, there is still a hope of staying, what will we get for all our players that won't be a part of a Championship team? Wimmer on loan to Germany, hopefully we'll get £5M for him in the end, but I really doubt it! Imbula, still think we could get £7-9M back for him. Butland, could we still hope for £35M after this season? Around 25% percent back to Birmingham anyway (around £8M). Shaq, is £30M too optimistic? Wouldn't let him go for less than £25M anyway. Allen, must certainly be worth £25M in today's crazy market. Would really prefer to keep him though! Badoue, really hoped he would stay, but after reading about his release clause we must at least get £15M back for him if he wants to go. Muniesa, I guess we have a deal in place where he goes for £1-2M. Adam off the books to free up money. Fletcher, let's hope we're able to offload him too. Afellay, the same. Johnson, the same. Berahino, is it possible to get rid in any way? We will lose a lot of money on this one! If this happens we still have Grant, Bauer, Shawcross, BMI, Pieters, Cameron, Chapou, Diouf, Ramadan, Crouch, Bojan, Edwards, Campbell and a lot of other youngsters left. We will also have a solid financial platform with money from sales, around £80-90M, and saved saleries. We would still need 7-8 new quality players to compete for promotion I guess. Hopefully uncle Peter is ready to go for this! Bauer is an example of gems out there for a reasonable price, the way to go + 3-4 expensive signings in midfield and up front. .................Grant................... Bauer...Shawcross.....Indi.......Pieters Diouf....Cameron...new player....Ramadan ...........Chapou..new player...........

I hope people are steeling themselves for what is likely to be the most depressing transfer window any of us can remember. What bit of quality going out and absolute dross coming in thanks to the nightmare combo of Cartwright and Lambert. A few on here will also be quite shocked at the budget given to Lambert this summer....and not in a good way.

I would not be at all surprised to see Diouf move to a premier league club Works hard Versatile can play in three positions Makes chances for himself and others Scores a few if played regularly (11 in first season, 6 this season) clinical finisher Cheap

Wolves are preparing a £20m bid for Allen, according to The Grauniad. And it won't stop there. I will be in the States for six weeks of the close season. I think I'll just avoid all Stoke news until I get back, and take it all in one big blow, rather than have my spirit drained bit by bit. If Allen goes, which seems definite if we drop... then how about Saiz from Leeds?

What we don't want is players who are in their mid-30s chasing after a chunk of our parachute payments, or last-chance, injury-prone, problem players like those Hughes has already lumbered the club with. We want the best type of Championship player that our profile and money can afford: young, hungry, fast and skilful, but who are unable to break into Premier League teams because of its obsession witnh experienced foreign players.

The Premiership's obsession with experienced foreign players is down to the fact that they are the best players available - not that they are foreign. Do you seriously think Man City would have won the league as they've done with a British only policy? The answer is no they wouldn't. Absolutely agree with young, hungry, fast and skilful - oh and add good character. Nationality is irrelevant.

I reckon this is it. Note the "celebrity/footballing pedigree" reference in the main description Yup that's got to be it. It's a lovely house too and has all the fancy shite you'd expect it to have. That isnt Allen's gaff look at the shirts on the ceiling in the bedroom, they are ice hockey shirts from the uk league the furthest away is the blackburn hawks

If we manage to keep that back 4 it’ll be the best in the division. If we lose Badou and Allen I can see us starting with a new partnership next season as we need more dynamic players in the Championship than Fletcher, Adam or Cameron. I think we’ll get a new winger rather than use Diouf. I can see us going for a Dwight Gale type up front if we go with Diouf or Moting.

I still think Cameron can do a very good job as our defensive shield in midfield, but you might be right because he struggles so much with injuries. I think that has been his main problem this season as well as he never really has reached the top of his form. Anyway he will be decent back in many positions as always.

There is a famous person in Saudi called Turki El Sheikh (president of Arabic FA) who is doing these sh.t now with all Egyptian players, he sometimes pays 10 double the price just to steal the show, he has already paid millions for Egyptian players lately to transfer them anywhere, he has lately transferred one of our best players from Al Ahly to Finland and no one understands him, I cant understand him too, my only interpretation is that either he is crazy showy person or he wants the 3 points from Egypt in the World Cup. BTW, According to Egyptian newspapers here Ramadan replied to that and said it is not about money I want to stay in UK.

According to the BBC text on Monday,Stoke are to release 12 players, but didn't say which players. Just repeating what the Mail said. Staffy,Zouma,Jese were three of those. Then the out of contract players,Johnson,Haugaard, Shaqiri, Butland,Allen Afellay, Fletcher,Adam They were the players named. I'm missing one, might be Wimmer? Read to me like they were putting two and two together?

I honestly won't lose any sleep over any of them leaving as i think some have let themselves down & some are just not good enough. Either way if we stay up or go down we need to re-build massively. Butland , Shaqiri , Allen & Badou will definitely leave i think.
Good ones for the championship might be Grant Shawcross Bruno Pieters Adam - i know most don't like him but he would be good in the championship imo Ireland Choupo - maybe Crouch Cameron Some of the young uns need a chance. Shame Affelay don't get on with Lambert as i think he'd be good
We need to ship out Wimmer Imbula - although if we could sort him out would be class in the championship Fletcher Berahino Ramadan - don't rate him Bojan - Unfortunately lost it since his injury . A real shame! Diouf - I'm not a fan Haugaard - not good enough Johnson - 50/50 on him. Championship maybe , prem definately not
Loans will go back
Dwight Gayle would be first on my shopping list
