Promoted to the Championship. Wigan were promoted a few days ago, so that's 2 of 3 relegated teams that bounced straight back automatically. Rotherham could go back up too as they are in the playoffs. I wonder if that has ever happened.
I'm happy for Blackburn fans as they have been really fucked over by the Venkys. To people angry at Peter Coates, remember that the alternative may be much worse.

Can we think that it could be a bit better too?
Is that allowed?

Could be 5 sets of top flight league champions in my supporting lifetime in with us in the Championship then:
Leeds, Blackburn, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. And Forest and Villa are both European Champions and Leeds United European finalists.
If you strip the top 6 out of the Prem and compare the remaining 14 clubs with the largest 14 clubs in the championship then the championship has more potential big hitters.

I appreciate your attempts to soften the blow but I'm afraid it doesn't work. Going down - for any club - is completely shit and there's no getting away from it. "Better clubs than us were also completely shit" is not really much consolation.

"Better clubs than us were also completely shit" is not really much consolation. It wasn't meant to be consolation, I'm as gutted as you! I was just making an observation based on Blackburn's return. If I was making any point it was how hard it may be to get out. With so many teams with revenue and investment potential from strong brands and large followings based on their strong heritage. We won't be kicking sand in anyone's faces and will need to scrap from beginni g to end to make an impression .

Small minded mentality...look at how bad it could have been at one of the most fucked up clubs in the country.
As for bouncing back first time, lets not forget that they have been relegated twice over the last few years. Hardly a consolation.

Because all owners are as bad as the Venkys.
Just because people are criticising doesn't mean that they want the Coates family out - we're allowed a voice too y'know.

Yes and the vast majority have played in the Premier League since it's inception (Norwich, Sheff U, Sheff Wed etc.) so are simply looking to return there, just like us.

This is why it’s so frustrating that we’re dropping. The PL has never been so weak
Huddersfield Burnley Watford Bournemouth Brighton Palace Swansea
Fair play to them for staying up but it really shows what an almighty mess this seasons been for us WBA and Southampton.
