Nice to see that the club are actually still capable of making a correct decision.

I had a right moan about this recently: Player of the season? Seriously? The lot of them should be hanging their hands in utter shame. The idea that we put one of them on a podium and reward him for his 'efforts' is just laughable and sums up what a joke this club has become. An insult to people like me who keep paying to watch games. However, that'll soon be fixed I can assure them.

From here: www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/24/stoke-cancel-inapproriate-end-of-season-awards/"Ryan Shawcross, the captain, has insisted there remains hope of a miraculous escape." Would be better if he just said nothing. We all know there's no such hope. “If there are players that give up, they won’t be playing." If that were remotely true, we wouldn't be able to field a squad. “Liverpool have had a few upsets at Anfield so hopefully we can capitalise on them. Obviously they’ve got two massive games in the Champions League, we’re sandwiched in between that so hopefully their focus is away from our game." Even their focus IS away from our game, they'll still beat us. It doesn't take much these days. Turning up should suffice.

I had this convo with my old man earlier, i genuinely believe we would lose to their under 23's even with them fielding NONE of their first team players. I'm deadly serious

Now I am really worried they are more than slightly pissed off that Roma scored two in 15 minutes.

Right decision. Maybe the club could look at some other format and take the opportunity to actively collate and agree the concerns from supporters and answer them with a positive ten point plan they promise to adhere to and will make themselves accountable for instead. At least we get something tangible from the season and hope for next year.

It costs a few bob to run award nights.
So please give the money saved to charity Mr Coates.

So they should. No one deserves fuck all this year. That's a double negative. Which is appropriate coming from you. Is it a competition with scrot to try and find the biggest over-exaggeration to describe the ability of our team ? last week you said we'd lose to Sunday league sides, have we suddenly improved ?

Well we couldn't get lose to Coventry, we were played off the park this year and haven't really done any better under Lambert. So i'd say were league 2 standard for sure.

But there's nothing to worry about? so i'm confused as to why we've cancelled the awards? And Lambert has improved results, and will stay for the next few years so why on earth are we not having an awards night?

Its become a filthy corporate event anyway. Not many companies want to be associated with abject failure and I'm not sure they wanted real supporters there.

The price charged to attend the End of Season Awards last year, was more expensive than a season ticket in the Boothen End.

Whilst it seems appropriate to cancel this event, I do have some sympathy for Joe Allen who for me has been the stand out player, week in week out.
If only we had more players like him.

Best Actor (or maybe worst for impersonating a footballer) - Erik Pieters for his now weekly cameo in the Real Housewives of Cheshire, honestly if he spent as much time on the training field practicing crossing he might actually get it past the first man!!!

For the 115th time, there are many, many in the queue before Pieters, who have let us down. I'd even argue that Butland has been less reliable. But it's fashionable to bash Erik, I suppose...

Whilst I agree with the cancellation of the back slapping pantomime, there is one player who deserves all the recognition for his performances this season. If not from the club, then certainly wethe supporters. He has been a shining light in what has been a fucking shit-fest of a season. He's given 110% and more every game he has played and it will be a tradegy when he says farewell at the end of the season. The man I speak of, is the one player who actually shows he gives a fuck about our club. Take a bow JOE ALLEN.
