Would 7 points keep us up? Behave! To stand even the remotest we need all remaining nine but that might be a tad difficult.

7 points might give us a squeak and I fully expect us to get them. By mid September.

Would 7 points keep us up? It depends. For instance on the outcome of these games: Swansea-Southampton Huddersfield-Everton Several teams can end on 36 points. Goal difference then. Then goals scored, I suppose? We have an internal advantage over both Huddersfield (4 points: draw away, win at home) and Swansea (a win at home). We can't loose in that last game of the season.

Would 7 points keep us up? Already said, but we aren't going to get 7 points. Or even 1.

Would 7 points keep us up? Quite possibly but I think we will get 4 at most and probably less.

We'll prob lose at Liverpool, draw v Palace and lose at Swansea.
Can't see anything else I'm afraid.

The question was would it keep us up, not will we get them

it would be possible. But as soon as you start relying on opposition results, you're already gone.
Add to that the fact I don't see us getting more than 4 at a big push.

Possibly, but our last 2 fixtures will be very, very difficult. As for the Bin dippers game...
Still hopeful, but I'll be more hopeful next season. ;-p

Would 7 points keep us up? We'd stay up just under 50% of the time if we got exactly seven more points. Bad news is we get 7 points just two times in every 100 attempts from the final three games.

I'm crap at maths but am I right in saying there's only a 1% chance of getting 7 points and staying up?

Am I the only person who keeps reading this thread title as "7 pints"?
And then thinks that's the bare minimum you need to get through one of Lambo's rear guard operations!

Overall, with every permutation of possible results and likelihood they happen, we stay up around 3% of the time.

7 points might keep us up, 9 almost certainly would. We are highly likely to get 4 or less, so it is rather a moot point.

Not exactly the heights we had aspired to , are they. Just wish we had given it a real go and attacked teams, rather than trying to keep it close and nick it. Just seems like we're not fighting for our lives at all and just slowly drifting away.

Maybe I haven't been a Stoke supporter for long enough, but I don't see why everyone is acting so negative. We still have a fighting chance (albeit a very small one), but I've learned never to give up until you're mathematically dead. Go Potters!

If we lose on Saturday can everyone just pack this nonsense in, We're going down.
It's fine, there is life beyond the Premier League, don't worry.
