After thinking it through in the starting 11 there are a number who would but they lack the quality!

We are going down because we lack quality. On the pitch and in the dugout (although I think we've improved under Lambert).

on paper we got a whole team of quality internationals, champions league winners we just dont have the fight and spirit to go with it. wilko never had any premiership qualities but he would run through walls cant see many of our full backs doing that in todays team. whelan had modest talent but made the best of what he had and gave it all week in week out

Colin - have you been on the Tizer this evening? I unserstand the e-numbers can cause havoc at bedtime.
Alan Ball was sacked in February 1991. I have no idea why you bring it up today.

Today was one of our most important games in a decade and the second half performance was shocking. It sums up our season and why we are going down mate. The only thing that would cheer me up now is another threes up with Wendy and Sharon.

Burnley were there for the taking after going 1-0. We caved in yet again.

Not quite good enough most of the time with occasional signs of what might’ve been. We are slipping insidiously into the Championship and have been since October.

It has been blatantly obvious we have needed a decent striker for 3 seasons now. I fear mid table in the championship. We need to sign some battling players in my eyes

I'll be honest Waggy lad I'm starting to worry about your alcohol consumption. Has mother noticed, she can't be happy about it? I got a rollicking this morning when i went downstairs for my porridge and a cup of tea, Mother said she doesn't know what has come over me lately. I think relegation has been the final straw, that combined with a woman i courted turning into a lesbian and somebody keeps stocking my window wipers up on the I10 each morning i go to get in it, i will find you the bugger one day

Basically, we had an identity, other teams feared coming to the Brit, it was a fortress, teams knew they were going to be bullied, both on the pitch and by a full house screaming blue murder at them. I think that identity started to die away the season after the cup final, but we still had honest grafters - your Ryan's, SJW and Whelan to name a few - that kept the dressing room together and application levels at 110%. In fact, I would argue that losing Walters and Whelan has hindered us more than Arnie - SJW and Glenn were big characters who wouldn't accept the apathy and lack of desire that is symptomatic of our club today.
