Diouf miss
Or
Bauer being subbed.
The Bauer sub finally nailed Lamberts coffin for me. Wanted to give him every chance but that sub finished him in my eyes.

Or Johnson’s free kick. What the hell was he doing? Ffs amidst everything I've just watched my mind had attempted to protect itself from insanity by forgetting all about that free kick.....

Totally agree. I so wanted Lambert to succeed but he really doesn't have a clue does he? I 'get' that he wanted to bring Ireland on, I also completely understand that he couldn't take Allen or Ndiaye off, he wanted to keep two strikers upfront so it couldn't be for them either, so it left him a straight choice between taking off a woefully under-performing, but still potential match winner in Shaqiri, or Bauer, so Bauer seemed the obvious choice. However... It could have all been avoided if, when Johnson went off injured(?), he'd just dropped Bauer into right-back & brought Ireland on then. The Zouma sub was simply not needed.

I'll tell you what, it'll be interesting seeing someone compile a list off all the things that have contributed to our relegation this season. The things mentioned here are just a few of a broad list.

Johnson came off at 1-0 Goal 1-1 Wants to bring on Ireland
It's obvious why he didn't do both at once

Johnson's free kick changed the momentum of the game. That was absolutely pathetic and summed up our 2nd half

He and Ndiaye had a good game too, but for me Butland was MOTM, other than those 3 players all players were below average

I've not seen their goal since but can we add Butland being cemented to the goal line again from another cross. He seems genuinely scared of getting clattered.

The minute he makes a substitution you just know the team are going to look disjointed and will concede not long after.
I have given Lambert all my belief since his appointment but to bring Bauer off is inexcusable. The whole legs had gone out of the team
