Yeah, you can question Lambert's baffling subs, and lament Diouf's total lack of quality, but where was the little maestro again?
He doesn't turn up when needed.

Gave up after we took that free kick short.
Then sat down looking dejected at FT after that shit performance.

I've always backed Shaqiri when he's had shit off people on here and at the ground. But today wasn't anywhere near good enough. He was just about ok first half but completely went missing in the second. He spat his dummy out about that quick free kick on the edge of their box and you never saw him again. That's unacceptable.
By far our best player when he turns it on but when he was needed most he couldn't be counted on.
If you talk in the press about a lack of quality in the team, you ought to make damn fucking sure you're bullet-proof.

Don't think he gives a fuck tbh. He knows whatever happens he is leaving at the end of the season so thinks why chuck myself around and risk injury which could foul up my transfer

He is another one. Where does he think he will end up next season? No one is going to come in with 20 million quid and increase his wages.
He could well still be here next season.
Apart from Allen now Badou, there is no one there that modern premier league teams will want.
See you at wigan shaq

He should be thriving in games like this, but disappears.

How he's got the fucking gall to say his team mates aren't good enough is beyond me.

Don't agree with all this vitriol - he's surrounded by a sea of shit and we now know have a clueless manager - without his efforts we'd have been down 3 games ago

He plays for himself not for the team. I jokingly said I would drop him for Ireland the other day; now I think it's a genuine option.

He should be thriving in games like this, but disappears. It's true but I must say that for the vast majority of that second half we had absolutely no composure from anybody on the ball. Once the last 20 minutes came we just resorted to launching it and under those circumstances Shaqiri is never going to exert any influence on the game. The whole occasion got to most of the players. I've lost count of the number of times we could easily have brought the ball down and picked out a pass but we just hoofed it. The whole team performance was terrible. We ended up playing right into Burnley's hands.

He wants a swift kick in the balls for acting like a fanny after Johnson's (admittedly moronic) free kick.
He's another thoroughly dislikable individual, but he usually shows the quality to cancel it out. As soon as he starts to give up though, he's only left looking like a crusty bell wipe.

I knew you wanted from him a surprise in the match thread, but obviously he doesnt even care to do something good, he thinks he deserves a better team and i am sure this will not happen, no good team will give him a chance to walk on the pitch for 80 minutes and play for 1-2 minutes every 10-15 minutes.

The weight of the club on his shoulders.
He had a shite game but that doesn’t mean someone else can’t step up and be counted.
Endless cycle of when shaqiri isn’t involved in goals, we don’t take the points. It shouldn’t be that way but it really is.

Can't believe this thread when there's so much sheer ineptitude and wilful neglect throughout the squad - he's one of only 3 or 4 quality players and an easy target cos he single handedly can't pull off the win - you fucking haters need to take a look at the rest of the shower of shit we have in the stripes this season ffs He’s the one who keeps talking himself up, if you talk the talk you have to walk the walk

If we were ever going stay up, we need more than one person to be able to create a bit of magic. It’s not an excuse for him, more a question of the others why can’t we get a bit of something special from someone else?
