What I wouldn't do to have him in the side now. No chance, Lambo would have him on the naughty step for turning up late for training.

Is this the same bloke to whom a previous manager said would leave the country to own nightclubs or something when he finished playing as a way of suggesting he was in it for the money hence wanted a move to sunderland?
Clearly the great man has an affinity for our area and a passion for our club.

Individuals come and go, it's the badge and the Stoke City institution that runs through my veins. But occasionally, just occasionally players represent our great club with such distinction and bring such joy that you'll never forget them. As a 40 something who missed out on the glory days of the 70’s mine are Mark Stein and Ricardo Fuller. Absolute legends and watching clips of them both in action never fails to bring a smile to my face.......

He seems to have his heart set on a role in the academy. You'd hope the club let him have some time with our current crop so all parties can learn. I know Wade Elliot had a few good games against us in years gone by but I'm not quite sure his Youtube clips would inspire quite like Rics would.

Imagine him having a few years experience and working his way up to be our manager. He’d absolutely galvanise us again! No more divisions, no more rimmers and wankstains. Would be bloody brilliant!

Even at the age of 38 I would still back Fuller to score more than any of our other strikers.

I’d let Ric in the dressing room so he could tell those twats exactly what he thinks of them, with the exception of Badou & Bauer, they should be absolutely disgusted with themselves.
How he’s not employed by the club in some respect is baffling, the man is a hero.

Great memories from a great player. One of the few who would get you off your seat when he got the ball.
If only he was 10 years younger.
A true legend !

It seems like Fuller truly loves the club. He still attends games and is raising his children to be a Stoke fans.
I don't get the impression that the current players love the club to the same degree. I might be totally wrong on that of course, as I don't personally know any of the players.

What I wouldn't do to have him in the side now. Sitting in a pub watching the game on Monday I found my mind drifting back to that seismic comeback from 2-0 down away at Villa, that first season up,and later Alan Hansen highlighting on MOTD what in his opinion, had changed the game: The introduction of Fuller, giving us an out ball, holding up clearances that previously were getting thrown straight back into our box, muscling defenders, drawing fouls, single handedly dragging us up the pitch.

I was in potteries shopping centre in wh smiths Post office part, and Ricardo was by the tills, When you consider the money that some of these players make today for sitting on their arses its an absolute tragedy that living legends like Ric are forced to take on Christmas jobs just to get by.

“Talent is a basic requirement, it’s mental toughness you need to be a winner.
“I am angry. Frustration turns into anger. Even though I’m not playing and I know my time has gone and we did what we could during my time, I don’t like losing and I hate to see the team I love losing.
“My son supports Stoke now because of me."
I love him.
