Nzonzi is a good shout but the question is quite open. how can you compare a keeper to a striker for example.
for me the most influential and the player that made me love watching stoke, be that in the premier league or championship is Ricardo fuller. no one even comes close.
needless to say I e not really had anywhere near the same levels of excitement since he left.

Beattie was an extremely important striker for us when we needed it........if only we could've find someone like him this January......but hey, we tried our hardest.......apparently.

Nzonzi
He covered a lot of holes we didn’t know were there
The decline started when he left albeit slowly to start with...

So many great players to choose from.
It's a shame that Shawcross isn't the player he once was but I hope that won't cloud people's judgment of his time with us overall because he's been an absolute rock. Over the course of the decade he'd get my vote.
The player I most enjoyed watching though would have to be Arnie.

Fuller for his unpredictable nature, but for his “influence” Delap.
Really put us on the map.

Truth hurts sometimes fellas.Heres another,Very shortly- we wont be a premier league football club anymore. (That is unless, there is a miracle of biblical neigh epic proportions) and, we more likely go back to being 'little people', something plenty of folk on here will be far more comfortable with -perhaps even the owners and management too.

Crouch, because my missus likes him and she is the “one who must be obeyed”. Seriously, he’s contributed more on and off the pitch that most people give him credit for.

The contenders (for me)
Bego Sorro Shawcross Faye Huth Delap N'Zonzi Pennant Ethers Arnie Beattie Fuller
And tbh it depends what day of the week it is if it's Shawcross or Fuller.
Both are just awesome.

Ricardo Fuller everyday of the week. An absolute god!
I'd take being in the Championship every year if I could watch him play every week again.

I don’t get this N’zonzi love fest. What did he contribute in terms of goals and assists? What did he accomplish?
