Yes, I know it's wishful thinking, but in a country where democratic options are severely restricted and politicians repeatedly abuse their powers you have to keep chipping away!!! Please consider signing. As things stand Parliamentary Privilege gives MPs the right to mislead and lie to their electors without being held to account. This is one of those things that sounds obvious and simple, but the unintended consequence would be that it could be used against the national interest in that a foreign power could pay a politician to ask a specific question that could it could be in the national interest to give a false or misleading answer.
That's the positive side of lying, but I suspect that most lying has more to do with self interest and preservation, than the national interest.

No chance this will ever get home. Politicians and an increasing number of other people you see interviewed on TV have all attended the same media bullshit training....they are incapable of giving an honest answer. It would be better to have a petition demanding that they only give Yes or No answers.....at least that way you can nail the slimey gits with the right type of questioning.
