Could do with an Alonso goal to help my fantasy team. Biggest thing we need out of this game is Arnie getting injured or sent off. He has a point to prove (in his head) and will be at 110% against us

We need a red for Arnie. I think West ham are massive at 21/20 next Monday. It's a game they have to win and unfortunately for us they have the players to win matches unlike ourselves.

It is an important game for Chelsea to reach CL, they should react.

Ffs Arnie, stop it. He's going to make us pay next week. Of course he will. He is head and shoulders above anything we have..Shaqiri included. But we replaced him with a free transfer. Good work by our crack transfer team !

25 million...... They fucking robbed us. Maybe, but I can say Arnie would have performed as he's doing had he stayed.

Hernandez always has a good game against us too
Better that West Ham got something today, rather than Southampton although the Saints do have a game in hand
It's going to be very tough but we can still do it

Of all the fuck ups, and there has been many, selling Arnie is the biggest of the lot.

Of all the fuck ups, and there has been many, selling Arnie is the biggest of the lot. He wanted to go. The biggest issue was reinvesting 18M of the money on a centre half we didn't need, two weeks after spending 8M on a player we knew was good enough in exactly the same position.

But that doesn't mean we had to sell him. Especially not to them. Give him some more money and he'd have stayed. Even if not he'd have stropped about a bit before getting on with it. And replacing him with freebie Choupo is just negligent.

He was already our highest earner from his new contract that he signed only 12 months earlier. You can't run clubs like that. He didn't want to be here and we did the right thing. After that though is where it all went pear shaped.

If we did do the right thing in selling him, we certainly didn't in replacing him. We can't be held to ransom. Yes he's greedy and ungrateful but the investment surely would have been worth it. I'll be honest with you, at the time I thought fair enough, it was a good deal, but we did nothing to replace him. Instead, as you say we spent the money on a player we didn't need. On this occasion he was influential enough (on the pitch) for us to at least come to some compromise.

The simple maths are we gained £25m in July and will lose £100m in May , offset by a parachute payment of 55 , so £20m down in year 1 sadly that will increase by £70m in year two . Scholes allegedly the great bean counter as he is utterly appalling at everything else , will have to go some to convince anyone that’s a good deal .

Leicester refused to sell Mahrez and he has been the shadow of the player he can be since then. As stated the monumental fuck up(s)began the minute Arnie left the building.
