He’s not been right since the injury. His kicking wasn’t fantastic before but at the moment it’s shocking. Shot stopping, apart from penalties, is better than average but decision making on crosses is a liability. World Cup will be interesting if he’s number one. I don’t see it going well for him and his suitors may be reduced. Maybe his dream move won’t happen, we keep him and he becomes a bit more humble & works on his game. No chance he'll be playing for us next season in the championship. A mid table premier league side will take him.

If we are focusing on Jack as one of our problems then I am struggling. I am more worried by Captain Shawcross who has captained a defence that has capitulated record goals and is miles away from scoring the odd goal at the other end

He hit his peak before his injury just like Begovic did the season before he left, has he been anywhere near as good since?

I agree with the earlier comparison with Ben Foster, in fact at the moment I think Foster is actually a better all round keeper.

WTF was that one he two fist punched away ? any other keeper would easily have caught that. Not sure if he's got one eye on the world cup or he's a busted flush. Time will tell. I noticed that.. odd one but the commentators seemed to think that was commanding keeping

He will play his last game for us v Swansea, after that I don't give a Donkeys Donger,if he is England's No1,2 or 3, or even not on the plane to Russia.

He is getting found all right.
Excellent shot stopper but that’s about it.

If Grant was fit I'd want Butland dropping, that's how bad he's been.

He is getting found all right. Excellent shot stopper but that’s about it. He was. Before his injury he made saves he had no right to make. I cant recall one save this season where Ive thought bloody hell that was brilliant.

His distribution sucked yesterday. Too many times he could have passed a quick ball along the ground to Bauer or Johnson in space, but chose to hang on to the ball and try to find Shaqiris head with an inaccurate hoof up field. This inevitably lost us possession more times than not.

Again I would put the second goal at his door he just has to come for them.

I noticed that.. odd one but the commentators seemed to think that was commanding keeping It's a very 'continental' thing. He's obviously seen Ederson and de Gea do it. However, it may have looked spectacular but it immediately resulted, in the very next phase, in a corner and pressure being piled back on. If he'd caught, what appeared to be a straightforward catch, and then had a bit of a roll around as they do, then walked round his box for about a minute waiting for Diouf to realise he's got the ball and then lumped it up field and out of play, it would have at least relieved the pressure for a bit longer. That punch was simply a very good indication of Jack's complete lack of confidence at the moment in coming off his line with any purpose. There was another perfect illustration in the first half where the ball was bobbling about on the 6 yard box with no Spurs player in sight but Jack simply stood rooted to his goal-line and allowed the defender (Indi I think) who was facing his own goal, to hack it clear giving away a throw-in in the defensive third if I remember. I don't remember him being quite so dithery before his injury. It's a curious one. Although it might look like it but this isn't an assassination of Jack, he has many great qualities which he showed yesterday making 2 great 1 on 1 saves from Son but at the moment his lack of confidence/judgement, whatever it is, in coming off his line is a major flaw which along with costing us points also means that Pickford, although very limited himself, will be number 1 at the WC.

Just seen the free kick and it’s shocking from Butland! He has to follow the direction of the ball better and not just flap his arms

I think there will be a bidding war amongst the lower half of the PL for Joe Allen come the end of the season whereas if Liverpool don’t follow up their interest I think demand for Jack’s services could be pretty sparse.

I really can't believe what I am reading. Seems to be a bit of a N'zonzi situation here.Crap while we have him and just realise what we have lost when he has gone.

Very good on 1vs1, good shot stopping. Distribution is poor, not composed, dreadful at crosses.
He was much better before his injury vs Germany.
