Choupo would probably have made a successful pass when we had 4v1 but I’m not sure that he would have chased down the pass that Diouf scored from ( bravely)

Diouf is a garbage footballer, but our best option. Well done SCFC, it was obvious we did'nt need another striker. A massive bollocks dropped at a time when we had a real chance of staying up. But hey, 'financial stabilty' meant we couldn't spend more than tuppence ha'penny......... how's that working out now? Only a couple hundred million quid lost by meekly accepting the perceived wisdom that we had a squad that was too good to be relegated. You couldn't make it up.

That pass on the break by Diouf was as bad as any pass I've seen. It was harder to pass to their only defender than it was a Stoke player.
Sums him up, runs and runs but is fucking useless.

Fact Diouf scored. Fact no-one else made a chance to score. Fact he makes chances. Fact he doesn't take enough of them. We need better but he is the best we have.

For me it's no longer about the striker's 'all round game'. It's about who is going to score us a few goals in the last few games and hopefully keep us up.
Diouf is so piss-poor, it's laughable. And I don't buy this 'he puts the hard yards in' shite. He runs around mostly chasing lost causes. If that's all we want, I'll do that.
Choupo Moting (who is imo, idle at times) won't give you the chicken-chasing that Diouf does, but he's 10 times a more intelligent footballer and 100 times technically better. He's also got an eye for goal.
I don't think I want to see Diouf up-front ever again after today. The sponsors had it right when they (I assume jokingly) gave him MOM, ffs.

Yeah Diouf missed a few sitters and made bad decisions but cmon ffs ....it’s better to make them and miss them than not to make them at all
He’s shite all right but if he’s not going to play Campbell he’s the best we have available to us ...yeah he misses chances but he creates them and never gives the defenders a minute
It’s all relevant and an appalling state of affairs

Stick with him up top for the remaining games, we don’t have much choice. If Choupo Moting is fit for West Ham I’d bring him in for Sobhi out wide and Zouma for Johnson, Choupo Moting for all his faults is more attack minded and it’s shit or bust time....

Choupo for me.
Better on the ball, and a more intelligent player.
It's moot but if he'd been in the box with the ball instead of Diouf we'd have scored.
Diouf actually seems to be getting worse to me

Diouf is a shocking striker I have never seen a guy miss so many chances or get caught offside so many times John Walters was the master of being offside, as was Sir Mark Stein.....

He's embarrassing to watch. He's either offside, falling over, missing sitters, flicking it in to no one or displacing the most basic of passes as he simply can't control a football of get it out of his feet.
He's robbing a living at top flight and to this day I don't know how someone can be so poor technically as a professional.

If we can keep hold of Diouf for the championship campaign. I think he will bang in the goals 20 plus.

Diouf will score 20 in the Championship next season. Playing against a lower standard of defenders doesn't improve your shooting.

Diouf was AWFUL today. He should have scored 4 with the gilt edged chances he had. Who were the sponsors today who awarded him MOM?

Diouf on the right, Campbell up top, Shaq in the #10 role.
Taxi for Choupo.

He needed to pass at that point. He takes another touch and the angle is closed down. He then just needs to leather it rather than pass. Poor all round.

But your striker’s all round game is crucial to whether you actually get chances or not. And we can't create any less than with Diouf up top. Well we can and have, yeah. We can all see Diouf’s flaws but the striker in our set up needs to be: 1) Capable of pressing from the front 2) Capable of getting on the end of through balls from Shaqiri. No other striker on the books can do that.
