What the hell happened. Haven’t seen a replay but was Butland at fault it seemed really soft.

Superb delivery. Crap goalkeeping. Shithouse referee should have given a free kick for a foul on Johnson 30 seconds before.....

I also think Kane was marginally offside, but shit goalkeeping again from Butland. I really can't see us getting £30M+ for him now after all the mistakes he has made this seasonn.

Superb delivery. Crap goalkeeping. Shithouse referee should have given a free kick for a foul on Johnson 30 seconds before..... Johnson should have gone down and stayed down. The bloke is 33, has played for some of the biggest clubs in the country and won 50-odd England caps and he hasn't got the brain to win us a simple free kick. The referee was shocking though.

Englands number 2 at fault - £25m tops in the summer.

Too much twittering and caught up his own fame. Butland has been poor this season. Yet you can be pretty sure he’ll be on of the first to hand his transfer request in.

I’m right in line and swear Kane was offside. It seemed the slightest of touches but if he didn’t touch it then he was definitely interfering with play

From where I was in block 29 which wasn't the greatest view granted it looked like Butland froze.

From where I was in block 29 which wasn't the greatest view granted it looked like Butland froze. It was a great ball in that can't be argued. But as a keeper in that situation you have 2 options. 1. You come for it. All guns blazing. Head, fist, body. Everything. You clear out the ball, the defender, the centre forward. 2. You stay on your line. If Kane nods it in you beat yourself up for not doing one. If the ball misses him you make a pretty routine save from the cross. What you don't do is a weak combination of the two leaving you in no man's land.

It was a fantastic delivery but Butland simply has to do better than that !
What the fuck was he trying to do ?

Butland should at least be in line with the flight of the ball and he gets it..no way is he going to come out and risk injury for Stoke City....he thinks by making a star it,s him doing his best to keep it out....you're kidding no one Jack, and not for the first time....

Said at Bournemouth to much derision he needs dropping since then Leicester , spurs and Everton have all benefited from his howlers , I’d expect another couple before the season is out .

You want Haugaard in then as we battle for our lives? No, but can you imagine the stick that Haugaard would attract for similar poor keeping? But land has cost 5 or 6 points with his own goal and fear of coming for crosses. His best performances have actually been in keeping scores down. He hasn’t gained us a point anywhere.

Butland was awful for it.
He's got to claim the ball and kill Kane.
Soft goalkeeping by someone who has turned into a Dracula this season.

Thought he was very poor for it but made a couple of top notch saves.
His kicking really grinds my gears though, I think he kicked a kick out straight into touch!!!

That save against Son in the first half though .....
Butland should've done better, bashed his way through - but that was a world class delivery. Real pace right in the danger zone.

Allways felt bad about Grant ( player of the season who kept us up last year) being replaced by (ENGLAND No1 ?????) Butland because butland needed to play to be given a chance in the world cup. Well that's worked out great hasn't it. Sorry Jack youre a great keeper but your form is dire and part of the reason were in the S@£T...

I have harped on like a stuck record on this MB that you can't expect a player who has not played competitively at the top level for a long period due to none selection or injury, to recovery his best form.
We have now seen many examples Bony, Berahino, Bojan, Afellay, Wimmer, and now I suspect Butland can be added to the list. Butland has repeatedly "frozen" this season and I suspect will not be on any CL club shopping list.
