They were 100M+ in debt to a local owner who everyone thought would write it off. He didn't. We are currently at 60-70Mish to the Coates family with relegation and a huge loss in revenue imminent. Never say never in business. Actually mate edit that they were £172.9m in debt..... Wow. Fair enough, just a bit worse off than us then! 😀 How do you see the summer going?

Edwards did bloody well didn't he? He was unlucky to be dropped for me and he should be given a chance next season. I think he's promising, Bayern. But assuming we keep Bauer, is it best for his development as a teenager to be glued to our bench? I don't think we'll keep Bauer. And I think if we did, it's pretty ideal for him as long as he plays 10+ games throughout the season which is easily achieved.

I'd be very surprised if any of Edwards, Tymon, Sweeney, Souttar, Verlinden, Campbell, Telford or Ngoy really figured next year. None of them seem to have done anywhere near enough to suggest they could figure at that level yet. I think it'll be loans all 'round for that lot, and maybe Telford released? Amazingly Verlinden has yet to get onto the St Pauli bench. Edwards did bloody well didn't he? He was unlucky to be dropped for me and he should be given a chance next season. True, but Bauer is a better player, so its backup or loan for Edwards?

If the option's there for a full season on loan somewhere, I think that'd be better for him at his age. Games are everything. Suppose Bauer could definitely get interest from a Bundesliga team or a lower-half Prem team, especially newly-promoted teams (if their scouting departments are doing their jobs) He's under contract 'til 2022 though - and not sure he's the type who'd demand a move. He's the type who you'd really like to give you a season in the Champo

Bloody hell mate so many variables that could change things. I wouldn’t keep Lambert that’s for a start but can we trust the current owners to make the right choice? Ask me again in May once the dust has settled on this God awful season.....

It just depends how much of the dross we can offload. If we can't find clubs for Imbula, Adam, Fletcher, Bojan, Wimmer and Berahinio, then we are somehow going to have to incorporate them in the squad. And what's more, the drain on our resources from them will prevent us from being able to afford decent replacements even if we bomb squad some of them.
Assuming Butland, Shaq and Allen are definitely off, the only players I would be desperate to keep are Bauer, Shawcross and Indi. But these will be the players next in line for the vultures circling and we will do well to keep any of these.
Of the rest I would be happy enough with Grant, Pieters, Badou, Diouf. But I'd hardly be gutted if they left.
The rest of the seniors in the squad for me can go. I'd happily wave goodbye to the lot.

He's the type who you'd really like to give you a season in the Champo ....and you'd hope that Bauer, and Badou for that matter, signed long term contracts in January in the full knowledge that a year or two of it may be spent in the Championship, given our position when they joined, so that the drop would not automatically signal a desire to move from either of them. Of course, the vultures may swoop and tempt them to think otherwise.

We have some promising youngsters coming through who could prosper in the Championship, but who aren't ready for the PL yet like Edwards, Ngoy, Verlinden, Sweeney, Souttar, Telford and Campbell. We will also need to rely on some of them as I belive Shaq, Allen, Butland, Crouch, Wimmer (I hope), Imbula, Bojan and maybe one or two of the others as well will go to PL clubs or leave England. A striker, a goalkeeper and a central midfielder must be the priority if we stay up or not I think. ....................Grant................... Bauer........Shawcross...Indi........Tymon Diouf......Cameron......Badou........Chapou ..............Campbell..................... ....................Berahino................. Subs: Bursik, Sweeney, Pieters, Edwards, Souttar, Sobhi, Ireland, NGoy, Telford. That team badly needs a couple of wingers and I'm not convinced Indi would stay or Bauer for that matter.

I think it’ll be something like
........................New GK..................... Bauer..........Ryan........Indi.........New ..................Badou.......New................ ............................Bojan..................... .....New.............................Choupa..... .............................New......................
A lot of mistakes to be untangled. We need a new strategy and some proper football men bringing in. Scholes and Cartwright have to go. So much work to do.
