Sorry this is late, Easter and families and all that (we've had a lovely day, hope everyone else here did too apart from the bloody result)...
Someone up there really, really doesn't like us. To me that was a quality, resolute job of management today and we're nearly unrecognisable from the aimless bunch of players Sparky left us with. Of course we don't have the penetration and extra magic we need creating in midfield and in the final third, but even as it stands we shouldn't be looking like the doomed side we used to be. Except for the damn results. Arsenal weren't at their best to say the least, no way on this earth was that a pen, that was maybe a 0-1 game all day long but instead the GD gets even worse. Like I say, someone doesn't like us.
imho, honestly it's another 7 for Lambo
* if you were at the game please

We were excellent. -3 for Johnson +5 for playing 4231 +3 for how good Bauer was at right wing +2 for how much more Xherdan could influence from number 10.

The only negative from his POV was Johnson who was just too ponderous but other than that he did nowt wrong.

6 All the good stuff completely wiped out after the break. Decent lineup except Johnson selection, Shaq in middle, Bauer right wing all excellent and positive moves and was working well to a point. The Johnson selection really fucked it up as Bauer was forced to cover him in second half, I can only presume his half time team talk was to sit back to hold out for draw, if he really knew the ins and outs of our squad as he claims he should have known that was never going to happen, we all knew it was a matter of time before someone fucked up. In this set up, Edwards is your player for right back you fucking Cretin. Just what signals does he need to get that Saido is a lost cause, not to be touched under any circumstances, Jesé, wank as he is up front, is a far better option if we aren't going to give Campbell his opportunity. Nothing was being achieved in midfield in the 2 nd half which was crying out for a change which should have been Ireland for either Badou or Allen.
I'd stick with the general set up for the remaining matches with the following changes to players Edwards for Johnson Stafy for Sobhi Campbell/Jesé for Diouf
Arsenal were wank, extremely wank and like the wet lettuce leaves we are we let them off the hook

I thought Arsenal were there for the taking after the first half. A stat I saw or heard was that Shaqiri sent over 9 crosses more that the rest of the team combined. My point is that if we were going to do that we needed to be able to reasonably compete with their defence.
There was a thread last week about luck. We had none today as the corner from Shaqiri hit the post rather than hitting the post then going in off Ospina. The 1st penalty was an absolute disgrace and changed the game.
Arsenal were poor and it was our chance to win. Undone by the referee.
Great effort by the lads and so much commitment yesterday from ALL.
Strong 8 for Lambert but it won’t get any easier next week with Spurs

8* Ten losses down there but he set his team up at least as well if not better than either of his predecessors had in the previous nine. Players really tried but we have nothing bar Shaq in the final third and that's not down to Lambert . Add to that a shocking decision which changed the game . Bit shit do get done off a set piece for the 2nd but had we played as we did today all season we might have a few more points but Hughes and the transfer team have created this mess .

10.
I’m not really sure what else lambert could have done? Injuries hit us again, however went with a side that harassed, pressed and caused arsenal problems. We were comfortable until that wanker stepped in and helped them out.
Roll on spurs at home.

Best performance I've seen against the scum at their gaff. Shit ref cost us in the end but for 75 minutes we were good value for a point.

8...possibly a 9. Well done Paul.
Agree with just about all the above comments. But I think our chance to get something out of the match came and went with the half time whistle. I think we played our best football of the season during that first half. Once again we were stalled by another controversial ref decision which we never, ever seem to recover from. However, Sunday's performance gives me a sliver of hope for the remaining fixtures.

Zero , another defeat a record that’s beginning to make mark Hughes like air Alex Ferguson , and another load of complete bollocks post match , sell in course to be the second worse maager Resukts wise in our history,
Brutal I know but it’s a brutal place and while he gets zero the pair of incompetents that orcistersted his appointment deserve all the real flak , so I don’t begrudge him his inevitable pay off when we have completed the season , quite possibly without another point very likely withiut another win

Looked slow and gave the ball away a lot. Rather play Edwards.

9. His plan worked well for 70 minutes and I am not sure what else he could have done. 4-4-1-1 was the right formation, he picked the best players available (in their best positions) with the possible except of Johnson (I would have picked Edwards). However, playing Bauer in front of Johnson worked out just fine. His subs were correct. The first penalty was harsh, but not his fault.

To be honest there's no evidence that he would work there, the 3 players who have played there this season are total failures which is the only substance we can put forward There was no evidence to show Bauer would do so well in front of Johnson but he gave us far more energy and threat. Stafylidis has shown his willingness to work hard. He tackles well and has experience. I was personally pleased with our performance up to the major refereeing mistake but it was clear that Sobhi is just not ready at Premiership level.

He's not got much of a hand to play, but it wasn't a bad line-up. And it was a spirited performance until that first pen demoralised us.
He could've also played Shaq where he's most effective - behind a front two.

Fuck all which is as many points as PL deserves he's wank.
players get a bit of credit but PL nah no impact at all only we are worse which is a fucking incredible feat. He will rank in the top three wankest managers in SCFC history if not number one.

As well as I've seen us play at the Emirates and the crowd was getting very frustrated before the penalty decision. Ultimately we couldn't keep up the pace for 90 mins and they kept getting in the channel which led to both pens. But in terms of a solid display it was decent. If Shaq/Ramadan had been a bit sharper and actually beaten the last man (they had the chance to do this 3 times) it could have been a famous win. Not to be.

8 for me. There is little he could have done better. As usual he/the team was undone by others errors; in this case the ref and Badou.
Team selection was good in the circumstances, they defended well and took the sting out of Arsenal who for 70 minutes were clueless.
2 points deducted because as Hughes would say "we had no cutting edge" and still don't look like scoring. A great shame the practice ground ploy of packing at the front post for a corner and Shaq trying to bend the ball inside the back post just failed. Shush, don't tell Spurs!
