I agree it is never too late until it is impossible to avoid the drop. 3 years ago today Leicester were certain of relegation, almost as much as West Brom are today: bleacherreport.com/articles/2420043-premier-league-table-updated-2015-epl-standings-following-matchday-31-resultsLeicester were bottom and 9 points from safety, then they started their miraculous recovery against West Ham on 4th April. Granted they had more games to play than us but we are not bottom, we are 4 points away from getting out of the relegation zone. Other clubs like Wigan and Sunderland have repeatedly pulled themselves out of the bottom 3 in the past. Leicester turned it round and pulled themselves up to 14th place in April and May 2015: www.soccerstats.com/team.asp?league=england_2015&teamid=25

I never stop supporting Stoke or hoping for the best: "It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer." - Albert Einstein (1879-1955) "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." - Thomas Edison (1874-1931) "It always seems impossible until it's done." - Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) "Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go." - William Feather (1889-1981) American author. Hopefully 3 other teams will give up before Stoke does.

It’s the hope that kills you people, don’t do it to yourselves. We are toast. Nah, it's the constant talking down of our chances, masquerading as "being realistic", that's damaging the mood around the club. It's probably between us, Southampton and Huddersfield to go down with West Brom. We're still in with a chance.

I believe that we are capable of staying up, however I have been resigned to relegation since Everton and I'm as used to it as I can be.
And putting a positive spin on it, after yesterdays atrocious refereeing and 'big club bias' I cannot wait to be out of the cesspit of the corrupt Premier League for a year!

That’s how I am too but rather than ‘cannot wait to be out of the cesspit of the corrupt PL’ it’s more a case of looking forward to the positive if we do get relegated as most of us now expect. Your description of the PL is bang on by the way, and at least if we do go down we will never have a home league game where we are 14/1 to win, we can go into every game home or away with a realistic chance of getting a positive result. Referees will still make atrocious calls against us but it will be more down to incompetence rather than being bent. The PL is only interested in money and promoting its global brands. Clubs like ours are only there to pamper to the super clubs and get the crumbs from the table we are not there to crash the party or threaten the global appeal of the product. The game as a whole needs to wake up to how the pigs at the top are stealing the oxygen from the rest and the FA should be about protecting and progressing the game at all levels not facilitating the elite privileged pigs to get fatter and fatter eating the rest of us. In the end if nothing changes only the pigs will survive and they will have to eat each other. Parasite clubs followed by parasite glory hunters fed by a greedy, corrupt and disgustingly weak governing body. BM

I'm also absolutely pig sick of seeing the likes of Rooney getting away with murder week after week by referees shit scared of upsetting the big name players.

There was me thinking it was the 4 goals in 8 games, mystifying team selections, our best player slagging off the club and his team-mates, not replacing our previous best player, wasting 50m quid on shite, the rotten apathetic complacency that has set in at the top of the club..... I could go on obviously but you get the idea..

I doubt we will score 8. Even 6 seems ambitious.

If we play that well against Swansea and palace WE WILL WIN. Possibly even get summat from Wet Sham and Burnley...Forget Spurs and Dippers completely. There are 4 games left where we CAN, MUST and probably will get 6 points from...

Love your optimism but who is actually going to score for us? Your theory is flawed, what informs this view? It’s not based on form, have a look at our stats for the last ten games.

FFS...If any Stoke fan thinks that we cant beat Palace and Swansea, then seriously...Find summat else to do on a Saturday... We CAN AND WILL BEAT THEM BOTH...OK...We didnt score yesterday, but there are bigger and better clubs than us who have failed to beat Arsenal at their place ( AND YES...A FEW WORSE THAN US HAVE)...But when our backs are against the wall, which they are now, we have got the fight in us to escape... WBA...GONE. Saints...Playing wank, have got LMH and a cup semi to distract. Swansea...Wank. Palace...On paper, better than us, but we play them AT OURS. Udders...Wank...And have a re aranged game to play due to them not playing weekend of 21st April. IT IS IN OUR HANDS. WE CAN & WILL SURVIVE... Now get a grip stokies, and get behind the team...DO NOT THROW IN THE TOWEL...

Bloody hope you’re right, but I can’t see us scoring let alone winning both games.
