Clueless. Totally clueless! After you mentioned in the match thread I had a look and it made me laugh Nice one hawk eye 😂 I wonder if he picked them up from the Club shop before the game? Or maybe he thought they would come in handy for his next job interview.

So, do we gather from this that Arnie's problem wasn't with Stoke, it was with Hughes, and that maybe, if we'd have got rid of Hughes in the summer like we all wanted, Arnie would still be here & we wouldn't be up shit street?

BBC radio Southampton listeners need to get used to the opening line of "Mark, you must be bitterly disappointed with the result"

No. I suspect Arnie's problem with Hughes stems from Arnie's lack of respect for Stoke when (a) he left and (b) when he came back to the Brit and Hughes' comments thereafter. Arnie is a pretty immature individual. He is too emotional and reacts to any perceived slight. The bloke needs to grow up but he is far from unique in that aspect when it comes to professional footballers.

All clubs should stop blatant neopotism like this. Roleslike player liaison should never be for family members. You lose all continuity every time you change managers

And to think there were some lunatics suggesting we were better off without Arnie because we have Ramadan....

Looks like you're going to get your wish. To be honest I wish nothing but shit on Hughes for the rest of his managerial career, he's the main reason we're in the mess we're in, the useless twat. Nah!!! I agree he was a massive part of operation cluster fuck but the majority of the fault lies firmly and squarely with the Coates fammily, they appointed Cartright and Scholes and went along with all the half baked ideas whilst Rome burnt, they then gave Hughes and co far too long in the hot seat as Rome continued to burn His legacy will always be tainted with the shit storm he has created over the last two and half years, 7 and half years of stability and sense ruined by 2 and half years of complete fuckwittery What's all the fuss about now Mr Coates Can't disagree with that to be honest, but it's easier to forgive Peter Coates than it is Mark Hughes for some reason. Coates obviously has a bit more in the bank than Hughes did so that's why the doddering old fool gets a stay of execution, although with the appointment of the even more useless Lambert the guillotine has been well and truly sharpened.

If that did happen, I just had a thought that EVERY team he has EVER managed will be in championship, or lower!! I have noted this before. If Soton and Stoke go down, every team he ever managed (i.e. set up for failure), except Man City is in the Championship or lower.

Didn't want to admit he left for money (understandable) so tried to belittle the club that made him. If he cared about ambition he wouldn't have joined West Ham. he'll be somewhere in the top 6 next season What in Spain Italy France maybe Germany There’s not a top seven side in this country who would want or need him

Come on, surely you don’t believe that? Actually, yes, I do. If we had fired Hughes last Summer we would not be where we are today. Arni staying might have helped too, but the main reason we are where we are is the Board’s failure to take action - instead the chairman announced “I don’t see what all the fuss is about”. Denial is a dangerous thing.

Just watched his post match interview on youtube, fuckin hilarious to hear the same garbage spouted and the same evasive answers to questions. The end question about Arnautovic's gestures and comments to him after scoring is met with an amusing answer!

Makes you wonder if Man City were regular side like before the moula, you could almost see them down there as well. Never thought I,would ever agree in a million years with Barton. But after reading that Charlie only spoke 1 on 1 with Hughes TWICE in 4 and half years says, something about his management to me

He has been the outstanding player in two shit teams, imagine what he could do in a decent side with decent players around him.

I mean, surely Coates should be employing the best possible sports science staff?! Or is that me thinking outside of the box being a bit mad?! The club is rotten from top to bottom and with every new day comes a new story of how totally inept we have become.

He’s been the outstanding player in two shit teams That pretty much sums it up It’s not difficult to look good in a shit team What per cent of games was arnie outstanding for stoke 20 /30 % the top six require 60/70 % of outstanding games He is niether good enough or consistent enough the only thing he has good enough for a top six team is his ego

Not sure about sandpaper but I can imagine Charlie stumbling on the pitch from nowhere and popping the ball before launching into Aaron Ramsey in his kit... even though he's banned. Wouldn't surprise me.
