Can someone explain to me why he's reporting for international duty when he's not fit to play for us🤔

Didn't Lambert say he'd a chance of playing Saturday?
If so he's probably fit to play by now

Love or hate Diouf, hes a grafter and has an idea how to defend. Just saying(and desperate) He’s a poor finisher but by fuck he knows how to play the one up front role....chasing,harassing defenders, running the channels etc etc You saw v Man City and Everton what we’ve got when he doesn’t play ....the centre halves didn’t need a shower The answer to our problems no....the best we’ve got, you bet he is

He's shit and it would do us a favour if he couldn't play again this season - but on a positive note he should be at home in the Championship

Simple fact is we need to play two up front if we are going to score the goals we need to stay up. Diouf is the only proper center forward we have with any pace.I know his touch is awful but if we play again with Crouch up front as the only striker I think I will throw myself off the top of the stand! He is the best we have got in that position either with Crouch alongside or with Berahino or Campbell if the manager trusts either enough.

When diouf starts we ask for another striker, when Crouch starts we ask for Diouf. There is always a favourable attitude towards the players who aren't playing. People crying out for Afelley and Ireland, when in reality we'd still be in this mess even with them in the side.

fr.starafrica.com/football/articles/senegal-ouzbekistan-mame-birame-diouf-idrissa-gana-gueye-forfaits/To prepare for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Senegal will face Uzbekistan and Bosnia, respectively on March 23 and 27 2018. But striker Mame Birame Diouf and midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye are injured and will be absent for both games, according to Record. Finally selected and back in the plans of Aliou Cisse, Mame Birame Diouf may not play the two friendlies of Senegal against Uzbekistan, Friday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 27 against Bosnia. He did not even play the last game of the Potters in the Premier League against Everton. According to the Senegalese daily Record, the doctor from Stoke City sent documents proving Mame Birame Diouf's injury to Dr. Abdourahmane FĂ©dior, the lion's doctor in Senegal. The Senegalese international striker suffers at the level of the clavicle. The player made the trip with the lions, but he will not play.

When diouf starts we ask for another striker, when Crouch starts we ask for Diouf. Douif is our best striker and possibly our best right winger and an option at right back. But he isn't very good.

He'll think he's too good for The Championship and end up at a newly promoted Prem side who don't know how shit he is yet.

Mame has a great work ethic and seems a decent bloke. Best of a rather poor striker pool, no doubt, and the sort who I can imagine staying at Stoke to work his arse off to get us promoted, if we go down.
There are far more worthy targets for supporters' ire than Diouf.

He is the best option but he's only good on instinct, when he has time to think he's fairly poor. However, he scored one of the best ever goals ( in my opinion) at City away, can't deny one of the best mentals in our 10 years up and best away win since promotion.

Different for different positions, basically. Midfield you'd look for those two attributes plus passing, alternatively striker + shooting, defender + tackling. Other attributes you course forgive, were in the bloody premier league, every player on their position should have these basic skills.... Unforgivable not to imo

We can't pay 2 up front because our midfield players are so poor and it needs more 2 of them to hold the fort. Allen & Badou would get overrun by any other midfield combination in this division, that's why we have had to put the likes of Cameron in. They can't keep possession and get knocked off the ball too easily
