More passion from hughes when he came out the tunnel than from all his time here, punching the air, he needs to be careful!

Amazing what it can do to you when you ask for players but get given a cheaper wanker alternative and then told make it work.

Amazing what it can do to you when you ask for players but get given a cheaper wanker alternative and then told make it work. Indeed, alternatively when you buy expensive players without carrying out due diligence, unsurprisingly they fail and as a manager you have no idea how to get the best out of them both lead to failure.

His pre-match interview has proper irked me! Talking about his managerial record standing up to the test apart from his latter stage at Stoke & his close affiliation with the FA Cup! Ironic his Stoke managerial career ended with an effortless demise at Cov back in January! Certainly more than a trace of smarm about him.
Just seems wrong a bloke can destroy a team so much & especially after subjecting us to 2x shocking FA Cup 3rd performances & defeats is suddenly rewarded & parachuted into potentially a game that could see them in a Wembley semi final.. Not going to go as far as say come on Wigan but do hope Southampton lose today!

Why aren't managers cup tied? Hughes produces a shambles at Coventry and now he has every chance of sauntering into a Wembley semi final as though he's earned it, pisses me off no end

Why is it players at Wigan and most other clubs actually look like they are putting effort in? They are sprinting and running their bollocks off.....I am struggling to think of many occasions where this level of effort was applied by our shower of shit this season. As culpable as the board and manager are in our demise, they players have actually contributed the square root of fuck all.

Yeah, thank god we’ve got a manager who jumps up and down on the touch line, what an enormous difference that’s made.

First game in charge of saints and he goes 2 up top!! That is what has wound me up the most, he always refused to use it at Stoke!

Still never forget his aftermatch QPR interview after the late Aguero goal won Man C the title & QPR scraped survival purely by us letting Wigan of all teams beat us.. His comment of "This football club will never be in this position again while im in charge" stuck with me as the following season he got the sack after a shocking start & QPR ultimately got relegated! That's the main reason I wasn't happy he got the Stoke job coz that interview was so cringeworthy! & look where we find ourselves! How the bloke keeps walking into jobs I'll never know. Great player, very average to poor manager!

Thanks for that! You learn something new every day!

I'd be pissed off if I was a Wigan fan. Your team puts in these performances against Premiership teams in the Cup, but have slimmed it in the Championship and League 1 for years.
As for Southampton, they look as toothless and inept ad us. Good thing is, it'll only get worse the longer that cunts there.

Hughes playing his first game in a 442 formation.
His experimentation and insistence of 352 is over I’d guess. That said, they’re getting battered at the moment by Wigan.

Lemima hasn't set the world alight for them, has he? I swear I was one of many on here who really wanted him at Stoke! 😁 Having said that, I do think Hughes has a bit more to work with than he left Lambert. I wouldn't mind Redmond, Gabbiani and Romeu for a start.

Another reason why my passion for premier league football is on the decline.
People like mark Hughes whose failings are ignored and is quickly rewarded with another top job while media puppets like let tissier spout rubbish like he's the man to keep us up. Yet forget the complete pig's ear he's made of stoke city and the millions he has cost and will cost is further with relegation and having to let players leave at less than their value what in the championship.
And don't start me on the arrogance of Hughes sitting there likes he's some well respected authority he's a lazy couldn't care less manager happy to waste the chairman's money because he can't be bothered to do proper checks on fitness or attitude of incoming players. As long as he can sit in his office picking up a fat wage for failure

We missed a hateful of glorious chances and butland did his now customary trick of throwing one in his own net.

Dunno why people want Wigwam to win, personally a draw would suit, then a replay and a Saints Win...Extra games that they could well do without...
