... we forget the other teams and aim for getting our own game to click. So far we have just looked a bunch of strangers and our team spirit seems to be rather weak. We still have some very good players though, but only potentially so. Perhaps this dire situation will bond our players, hopefully with some help from Paul Lambert.

Not a hope in hell of staying up now imo especially with Arsenal and Tottenham next

No chance. 7 games left - no points against Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool. That leaves 4 games to try and get 9 points and hope 36 is then enough? Fuckin Bob Hope.

After our games against Spurs and the Scum, we will have been cut adrift, with not enough winnable games left to get the pts. needed.

Yes he was... Handled Bolassie really well, solid in the interceptions, nearly got on the score sheet which I don't expect from a full-back anyway. He came into the squad probably low on confidence, but was one of our best players today.

Johnson was OK he read the game well, but this thread is about if we will stay up - and there is no chance, collectively we are not good enough, you have only to observe the number of times when players hold their hands in the air after a wasted pass - no one instinctively understands where another player is - its crap, we deserve to go down, and everyone culpable should be sacked for incompetence.

Johnson today was what I expect of a Stoke City defender and I'm tired of seeing threads slating him. Yeah Lambert picked him, he can't help that, but he put in a performance that was needed. Charlie Adam let us down in a very important game.

....and Johnson! He was great today. Was he? Lost Tosun for their second goal and scuffed two great opportunities with horrible shooting! Sure he was great!

Lambert let us down by picking Adam and Johnson, in our little group of 7 prior to the game we all, agreed we thought Charlie would see red be for half time. Sadly we were all right. Lambert showed today that he is out of his depth.

After that performance I'd be considering him again.

After our games against Spurs and the Scum, we will have been cut adrift, with not enough winnable games left to get the pts. needed. Every game is winnable; the ball is round and our opponents are human beings. We must concentrate in our own game and build our own success. We don't have the luxury of targetting matches anymore, if we do we are as good as relegated.

we win away at WestHam.
Hopefully one of their players will be sent off, for a change ... Or we have a bit of luck, for a change ...
I know we haven't been that good, but we haven't been all that bad either. We need a bit of luck for a change. Get a sensational three points in one of the impossible mission games (any of the away games or at home to Spurs).

We haven't been good enough but things can always change. And yes, upsets do happen but we must play our part. If that means replacing the manager yet again we should do it. People in charge SHOULD know if Lambert is good enough to keep us up, or not. Every stone must be turned if necessary. Who wants to give up now and face another 25 years in the wilderness? Not me.
