I noticed that most of the members here hate Arsenal, may be because of their TV channel or something else that I dont know, for me I dont hate them I like to watch their football although it is not good enough to win games or titles but it is still better than watching Mourinho or Antonio Conte.
After the recent problems between England and Russia, with talks about possibility for England not to participate in World Cup, the English team Arsenal has to travel and play in Russia against CSKA Moscow in the Europa League.
I see many of the members here are not caring about the English teams participating in Champions League or Europe League, with less extent some members like these English teams to lose, and a minority like these teams to win.
In case Arsenal vs CSKA Moscow there in Russia, how do you feel about it? 1- Not Caring 2- Want Arsenal to win 3- Still want Arsenal to lose 4- Just want the English fans to return safe

Stoke have a long history dating back to two FA Cup Semi Finals in the early 70's to their manager's comments about us since we kept beating them at home, since we got in the Premiershit, and other things mainly 'The Ramsey Incident'. As with most top 4 - 6 teams, though I used to want English teams to do well in europe, it now just makes them stronger, financially, which is not a good thing for the rest of us! Number 3 in both ties! Football hatred goes beyond some maybe war with Russia! P.S. I thought you were studying medicine you are now up to more than 1500 posts! I worry your studies may be suffering!

I thought Stoke on Trent is a city near Manchester and Liverpool but not London, this is why I thought Stoke City fans should hate Manchester teams or Liverpool more than Arsenal.

A large part of the post 2008 dislike of Arsenal (I’m hesitant to call it a rivalry as, realistically, we’re in a different league within the same league) is the simple fact that we are polar opposites of one another.
Arsenal are a metropolitan global brand based in a large, thriving (despite brexit...) world city, with a large proportion of their support being either middle-class or above, and/or having no genuine geographical affinity with the club. (Obviously they have genuine hardcore supporters as does any other club)
Stoke City on the other hand is a small (in comparison) provincial club from an old industrial region that is situated very much on the northern side of the English north/south divide. (For a USA equivalent, Stoke and Detroit are often viewed as equivalents) Our supporter base is primarily drawn from the fairly limited North Staffordshire region, and is largely working-class. We’re sandwiched to the north and south by two internationally significant conurbations (Manchester and Birmingham) and, coupled with the fact that we’re also the smallest city in England that is home to two professional clubs (Port Vale is in the north of Stoke-On-Trent, people from that part of the city that dont’t support Port Vale would be more likely to support Man Utd or Liverpool than Stoke City) we will always be fairly limited in terms of our ability to grow the supporter base.
Stoke City and Arsenal are polar opposites. You can’t say the same for the Manchester or Liverpool clubs. At the very least those clubs also hail from traditionally working-class, industrial regions and maintain a large hardcore support with similar cultural and socio-economic values and conditions. They say opposites attract, but clearly that isn’t true in this particular case.
In answer to your original question, I want them to return home safe. There are things so much more important than football.

5- Arsenal's finances fail leading a points deduction and relegation. Without PL money they fall to Vanarama and got bust and disappear from the face of the planet.
Let's have something we can all get behind.

Yes we say we hate Arsenal since the Semi Finals.
But those of us old enough to remember may recall that we intensely disliked them prior to these games, and the Semi Finals merely confirmed what a load of cheating , arrorgant scum bags they are. Story (hope that’s the correct spelling) was the dirtiest snidy player I have ever seen on a football pitch.
EDIT. Just googled him to check the spelling. Wickipedia quotes Peter Edward Storey CONVICTED CRIMMINAL and EX Arsenal player !!

Arsenal's trip to Moscow will be an interesting test case. If their fans get attacked by the locals then that will increase the pressure for England to pull out of the World Cup.
