The fact that he had such an outstanding brain is worthy enough of adulation, but the way he over came adversity to use it even more so
Brilliant portrayal of him by an early career appearance by Benedict Cumberbatch, much better in my opinion than the recent version with Redmayne

What a fucking tragedy. The world has got a lot less smart in the blink of an eye. The man was one of the great minds of physics, right up there with Newton, Einstein, Schrödinger, Heisneberg, Bohr, Feynmann, Curie et.al.

What an amazing brain and what an amazing life he had. Not only an inspiration to scientists and mathematicians but also to anyone with a disability. For him to achieve what he did is a triumph of the human spirit. I used to wonder what more he could have achieved if he had not been struck down by illness. I think the honest answer is that he could not have achieved any more if he had been in perfect health. R.I.P. Stephen - an example to us all.

Very sad news.
A truly remarkable mind and imagination that soared beyond the physical limitations imposed by illness.
RIP.
