Man City are a privilege to watch this season and no-one seriously expected us to win tonight, a draw would have been massive and it was always going to be boys against men. We did ok, we didn't get tonked, we still have a chance of survival on paper - but nothing, just nothing we did or above all, THOUGHT tactically tonight came near bothering them and we should have managed that at least. The 12th man in the crowd can't give the lads the extra brain power it takes at this level. That's a manager's job and no-one else's.
6* from me

Awful way to setup -1 (we were too deep, if anything) Starting with jese up front and not on the wing -1 ramadan on the bench -1 Johnson, fletcher and adam on the bench -1 Starting with choupo -1 Crouch on at 2-0 was too late -1

I’m not sure what lambert did wrong if anything? Sometimes you just hold your hands up and say you can’t compete with a side like that. They were superb. Even the goalkeeper has the composure to walk in our midfield

6* We did quite well defensively against a good side but when you have three forwards who only run when they fel like.it it's a hard night . Sobhi should have had half an hour at least.
He needs to change something for Saturday but some good things tonight

5*, Abysmal substitutions. Choupo should have been replaced at half time latest and bringing Ramadan on with 3 minutes to go was ridiculous. That said there was nothing on our bench capable of changing the game anyway. Must have been the oldest average aged bench in premiership history .

Couldn't of done much more against one of the best teams in Europe with our team, only thing that really pissed me off was keeping choupo on so a 7

6* can't really see what else we could have done, maybe Sobhi for Cheapo but sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say they were by far the better team and we weren't smacked 4 or 5 nil. I suppose that's what £500m buys you. Gouranga.

Expected nothing got nothing.
Choupo was garbage again. Don't know what sobhi has to do to get a game.

There's nowt he could have done today. He's inherited a shit team, and he's up against one of the best teams the game has ever seen.
It wasn't disastrous.

He could have dropped the bloke who had been awful on the left wing for the last 3/4 months. He could have had a bench that wasn't an OAP's day out. He could teach them how to pass a ball to our own players. Other than that, you're right.

5 Piss poor subs. What exactly was the game plan? I'm struggling to see how this team is going to pick up a win this season.

Let's face it Manchester City are an unstoppable bullet train, one of the greatest teams in the world today.
We were on the back foot from the off. Apart from Lambo's ridiculous Ramadan sub I don't see much he did wrong or could have done better given the shower of shit at his disposal.
7*

1 getting worse game by game.
Nothing to offer in the first half with no changes made until it was all over. I could have done that and looked better on the touchline.
Taking over a pile of shit is not an excuse to keep standing in it saying something smells.....
The defence are at least trying while the attack want trying for deception and fraud.

5 - hard to judge him as a manager, when he has been left a pile of dogs hit. A load of highly paid plodders, without the will to win. Shaqiri was awful, who would want to play upfront with players that can't make simple passes.

I can't believe some of the comments here. Manchester City have spent hundreds of millions of pounds, have dropped 9 points all season and are about to win the league with a good month to go. Lambert inherited a shambolic, unbalanced and unfit squad. Today we had a clear game plan and kept our shape and effort going to the final whistle. From the players he inherited, who exactly would people suggest he plays in front instead? Who else could have been on the bench? I accept that Ramadan should have come on earlier, but otherwise I thought Lambert did all he could. 8*

Should've gone for this game and we just did nothing.
Choupo-moting, no. not two up top, no.
Lambert has to go at the end of the season.

A rookie left back against Stirling.
Playing Jese up top when he's not a lone striker in a million years
Playing Cheapo instead of Ramadan was again an absolute disgrace.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he joined but he's as crap as everyone who had warned us about him had said.
Totally limited manager who believes fitness and socialising in the dressing room is enough to manage a Premier League team.

3* It was important not to do loads more damage to the goal difference & he achieved that. But Cheapo-Moting again? And that bench? Dear god.
