I didn't think Staffy was that clever the other night, he looked a bit star struck. In fact I said to the lad I would rather have Pieters back. Think I need medicine.

He got too preoccupied with following Sterling and let himself get dragged up the pitch following him. He was done by it a few times and should have held back a bit and anticipated the run. Didnโt have an easy job mind, as he needed to cut the space inside as well as dealing with Sterling/ Sanรจ constantly switching. He seems a decent player. Hopefully he finds it a bit easier against others than the weird world XI that is Man City, as I think heโs played quite well since heโs come in.

My guess is that Stafy and Bauer were directed to keep tabs on Sterling and Sane. Unfortunately that left Shaq and Choupo to keep an eye on Zinchenko and Walker!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also. Anyone who is picking Choupo to start a fucking game. What are you thinking? He's been terrible for months and essentially, is here for a pay day and is a complete passenger He cannot start In a desperate attempt to get goals Id drop him for Crouch and play Jese and Crouch up top, one up front is getting us no where, Jese looked ok the other night but he needed someone up there, then Lambert pulls the masterstroke of taking him off to replace him with Crouch who then wins everything in the air but heads down to an empty space where jese had been!!!!

We have to drop Choupo at this stage surely? His performances certainly donโt deserve anything else...but who the hell do we replace him with? Is Ramadan any better? He cannot be any worse- which isnโt a brilliant argument- but playing with Rapperman is starting with 10 men.

2 reasons why we may lose this one.
1.Evertons away form is nearly as bad as ours.
2.We are a charitable case.

We have to go for this I'd stick with Staffy ( Everton don't have Sterling ) but would bring Ramadan in probably for Choupo but possibly Cameron to get Shaq in the centre

Have it still not dawned on you yet that Crouch has gone. When he starts we are handicapped in so many ways. We haven't got that much but pace is so important and Crouch is much slower than he used to be and he is also not that good in the airway more. Lambert will not be readily changing his formation on the pitch and it would be unthinkable to play Crouch by himself because it allows team to defend high up the pitch. I was impressed with Sobhi's short cameo. I believe that the top three should be Sobhi, Shaqiri and Choupo with sub appearances from Jese and Berahino. Please I do not want to see Johnson, Adam or Crouch on the bench.

Must win game is Everton but today was our most difficult game and though we may lose to Spurs and Arsenal they're not in the same league as Man C and I'm sure we'll offer more of a threat. Re Saturday I hope we can look at going to 4231 and having Allen and Badou sitting in front of the 4. We need to create more. I'd go with .................Jack.................. Bauer.....Zouma.......Indi.........Staf ...........Allen......Badou............ Shaq........Jese / Ireland........Rama ................Choupa................. Did I see where Sigurdsson's out. It's a must win not just for the extra points but for morale, confidence can make a lot of difference to performance. If Stoke lose I think they'll lose the belief they can survive in the Prem. Switching systems and personnel will just be like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

I know heโs gone but if you play him in a two he will still win headers but he has to be in a two otherwise as you say heโs ineffective I would take Sobhi as an alternative as at least he gets forward. I would however have Jese instead of Choua and yes you are quite right no Adam, Fletcher or Johnson Iโd rather have Afflay Campbell and Edwards on the bench with Berahino

Hellu!
I would go for a 4-1-2-3, like this:
------------- JACK -----------
MORITZ-KURT-RYAN-KOSTAS
------------ BADOU -----------
---------JOE ----- XHERDAN ----
SAIDO ---- JESร ---- RAMADAN
subs: Lee, Geoff, Bruno, Ibrahim, Peter, Tyrese, Eric
If Ryan is fit, otherwise Bruno there.

I'm going for a 1-0 win, Crouch scoring having come on as a sub. I think it will be a hard slog like the reverse fixture; very cagey; niggly bookings etc.
I'm long past caring how we win though.
