Now I know that to some this is just unnecessary pedantry, I know they're the only club that are commonly known by the "City" suffix nowadays (although this is a pretty recent thing), I know that some don't even like our association with the "City" moniker. I can even tolerate it in contexts where there can be no confusion about which club is being referred to, but ffs in a game between Stoke CITY and Manchester CITY, can the commentators and analysts at least have the sense to refrain from referring to one of the teams as "City"? It's just a basic respect thing isn't it? They'll be at it as usual, City this, City that. There's even a couple of references on the OS to us playing "City", one attributed to our own bloody manager. I don't normally get annoyed by little things like this grumble grumble
