All the focus on Carragher because he’s famous, the absolute bell end using his mobile phone while he is driving needs prosecuting to the full extent of the law. It’s absolute dick heads like him that cause innocent people on the road to lose their lives.

It’s absolute dick heads like him that cause innocent people on the road to lose their lives. Anyone caught using a mobile whilst driving that is not hands free should be banned for 18 months, anyone driving not looking where they are going whilst spitting out of the window at another motorist should be banned for 18 months simple, both cases are dangerous driving and could easily have killed another motorist or pedestrian. The Police have the evidence to prosecute both these bell ends let's see if that happens

Fuck Carragher, fuck Sky, fuck wankers that think it's all right to invade a "famous" persons space. They are all tossers, the only one I feel a modicum of sympathy for is the 14 year old girl that had to endure that!

What I'm asking is, how did he know the young girls familys phone number, in order to apologise to them?

Isn't it reckless driving for the 'Manc' to instigate this in the first place? Very dodgy accent.

Yes he shouldn't have done it but for me it's done and move on. I like carragher abd Neville. Two good pundits. As long as the girl accepts the appology, for me it's done.

I've just watched the video. As many have said there must surely be plenty more to the story than just this clip and while yes Carragher is stupid and it is horrendous that an innocent girl was in the middle of this and must have been a horrible experience, the father is an absolute weapon. He shows zero shock or concern for his daughter and seems pleased about the whole situation. She is pleading with him to stop as the video starts and words can't articulate how much anger I feel towards him; he deserves just as much punishment as Carragher.

I don't care what the driver did, spitting is what children do then get a smack for it. For a grown man to spit at anyone is pathetic.
We turn a blind eye to so many things in todays world it really saddens me.
Driver was an idiot too, risking his daughter for a moment of fame. But two wrongs don't make a right is what I was taught.
Ban them both give them community service "Together" with the little girl as their boss.

Plenty of condemnation but how should one handle a mouthy Manc?
The town seems to breed an inexhaustible supply of the little buggers!

I find it fascinating how and why we make split second decisions that are completely out of character in the heat of the moment.
The Chimp Paradox would suggest that he lost control of the chimp in his head, i.e. the emotional aspect.
I would suggest that he wanted to harm him physically but couldn't get at him so acted in that way as a means of retaliation.
Inexcusable regardless, I just find it particularly interesting.
He's handled the aftermath in the best way possible, though I still believe he will be lucky to keep his job, and rightly so.

I hope he keeps his job. I hope that Manc wanker filming gets a lengthy ban from driving. Probably aimed the spit at the stupid prick of a father but hit the girl. She'll get over it. Fucking mancs.

Of course he's finished.
Just imagine if it was exactly the same context but it wasn't Jamie Carragher but Garry Lineker winding down that window.
The BBC would have had sacked Lineker first thing this morning.
But because it's Sky and because it's Carragher the bar somehow appears to be lower.
They'll get there eventually.

Won't let me open the clip, did he actually spit at the 14 year old (as in it hit her) or just in her general direction?

Nobody is defending him, he's been rightly condemned. The argument is should he lose his job. For me, no he shouldn't. Sky are employing drink drivers, drug users amongst many others. I'm sure you can go through the list of BBC employees and find some high profile person who has done something disgusting. I don't get the blood lust to be honest.

A bit of banter from the father and the phlegm gargler responds in the only way he knows how. The father should be prosecuted for filming whilst driving though but Carragher's response is just vile. The Mrs said last night, if that was a Tesco’s delivery driver spitting he would be immediately sacked.

We all know Carragher is an ignorant git and really should have controlled himself over a bit of minor banter. The driver was stupid in breaking the law and endangering his daughter's safety whilst filming but the victim of this scenario was the daughter who witnessed her dad being an idiot, a grown man acting in acting vile manner and then having to endure stinking spit on her body. Gross.

If Lineker had done it, he would have resigned by now. And it's not blood lust, the bloke is watched and looked up to by tons of kids, you can't do what he's done and then expect to remain in your role. It could be argued that Gray and Keys were sacked for less of an offence. I'm not making that argument but it was right that they both went too.

Plenty have done a lot worse and they are still employed. Kirsty Gallagher for a start. I don't think he could have any complaints if he does lose his job, I'd just be inclined to give him a second chance. He's come on national TV and showed, imho, genuine remorse. I can see both sides.
