I can understand the real dislike of bunnies but why be too bothered by Sunderland. It’s a huge rivalry considering we’re...hundreds of miles from each other. Daftest rivalry going! In all fairness mate, a lot of people from Sunderland and Newcastle came to Stoke in the 70's and 80's to work in the pits. On our estate, there are plenty of mackems and geordies.

I hope they stay up, great stadium and easy access from Newcastle. So me and the wife can have couple nights away when we play them in the Championship next year.

I remember us going up there a couple of seasons ago, going 3-0 up and coasting. We made heavy weather of it after that.
Let's face it, if you have lost at Home to Stoke these last few seasons, you're wank.

I can't understand the malice towards any other club apart from the "big 6" and their glory hunting fans around the country and the world, who never go near "their team".
When I think of the fans of clubs like Sunderland I think of the families, the youngsters, and those who sacrifice huge amounts of time and money following their team. The foul mouthed yobs are only a minority at all clubs.
I was very uncomfortable with the way this board was mocking Arni at the start of the season. In the end he has had the last laugh. We should not mock Sunderland; I have a horrible feeling at the moment that we are following them. It's not Sunderland's fault (or their fans) that Stoke chose to buy so many of their rejects.
