Hopefully De Gea leave Manure and that escalates a bidding war 😉

Mignolet would be ok as back up keeper for Grant who must surely become first choice.

Yeah, sadly I think Jack will be leaving this summer whether we stay up or not. It's definitely the right time for it to happen though.
I'd like to think he'll still be a Stoke City player at the world cup though for nothing more than to say England's number one goalkeeper plays for Stoke.

Foster will be 35 next Birthday. Fair enough I thought he was 31 or 32. 3rd April 1983. 🙀

40 mill + Mignolet....Cheers Jack, and thanks for everything. I'd rather have £30 million plus Karius! Karius will be a top keeper

If we sold Butland then I would look to sign either Pope or Heaton from Burnley. It would depend on which division we were in though.

Could we have Mignolet and Ings plus some money included in this deal? I think Mignolet is an OK goalkeeper, but he struggles with the pressure of playing for a top club. He was really good when played for Sland and he has also been good in several matches this season. Ings is a goalscorer and I will certainly say he is a realistic upgrade on what we have at the moment. That would be great.....but.....any plans such as you're suggesting will most definitely be on hold until our Premier League future ( or lack of it ) has been decided. Also we are talking about our dysfunctional transfer team here so, in reality, how likely are we to benefit from a canny deal?

I can see Scholes and Coates like a couple of Fagan characters cackling with joy about the thought of that money. Now, who can they sell next to cover up the loss of money through relegation due to their monumental fuck up. Will be positioned as the cost of relegation , plus Allen abd Shaq , then a couple of frees and loans positioned as our sign of ambition to return at the first attempt . Few weeks later scholes in the pzper saying a well run club Cole’s with relegation before a ball is kicked and sliding off into the darkness as we make a miserable impact .

If we were in the Prem then one of them might be happy to join us as first choice keeper. When both are fit I can't see them both being happy at Burnley who don't pay enough to keep one of them happy to be second choice.

It's hardly a fire sale is it. Butland was/is likely to leave irrespective of what league we are in.

They are both excellent keepers and neither of them will want be a back-up based on their performances over last 18 months so if we were to stay in the Prem I think either of them would come if they were the No.2 at Burnley. £40M is mega money if we go down but if we stay up it will be hard find a good replacement so either of these two would be a great capture IMO.

Possibly but given they'll be in Europe and have loads of games I can't see it happening.

So it’s reported that Liverpool are considering an offer of £40m, I’m sure our negotiating team can wittle that down to at least £30m ,. over the next five years, plus 20% pay back if he’s sold on.

The good news is that if we do manage to get 40 million, we can give Brum their share and still have enough to cover Beras, Wimmers, Imbulas and Bojans wages for 30 months.
If we sell Shaq and Allen too we could almost pay them off in one go!

Take the 40 million
Gets us another couple of Wimmers ?
I think we still need to know who is spending the money before we cash in on Jack

If we are relegated and the transfer fees come rolling in for the likes of Jack, Shaq and Joe it will be interesting to see what approach the club take. I have a suspicion they may suddenly become very keen on a policy of promoting players from the youth teams.

Butland for £40m
Bring in Angus Gunn from Man City for £15m and spend the rest on a striker......

I am not sure Jack would fetch 40m he hasn't progressed this season and the suitors will be limited. The depressing aspect of this inevitable transfer in the summer is that irrespective of which division we are in, the revenue from the sale is unlikely to be re-invested in the team.
