its negativity like this that has been dragging the club down for the last couple of years.ffs we used to be the best supporters now we have become the worst. we are not cut adrift as some of you seem to think one win and we are out of the bottom 3 get a grip ffs

Shaq will do a Sir Stan on the last day by running from the halfway line, rounding the keeper an planting the ball in the net! My chopper will be out if he does that. Infact i'll be on the pitch With my chopper out Do they sky cameras have a microscopic function?

I think its more of the fact that if we go down I cannot see the board investing wisely into the team to get it straight back up should we go down.
I have little to no faith in any of them behind the scenes to sort out the mess should it happen.
We need to stay up.

I thought the same last season. But there are some major problems if you go down...
-Your best players will leave obviously (can’t see Shaqiri fancying a game away to Millwall) -Those who can’t be shifted who want to leave will have an appalling attitude -As you are a relegated prem team, others will raise their game against you whilst there would be a few games where you won’t feel like turning up and be a bit arrogant
I’m speaking from experience here. The truth is the championship is only good if you’re winning...same as every football division.

Spot on Haway.
Some of the dreamers on here need a reality check.
If Stoke go down we’ve got a perfect storm to drop us into the third tier. Thanks Hughes.

If I had any confidence that the board would invest to get out of the Championship then I might be a little warmer on the idea. My fear is fuck all will be invested and we will at at best loiter mid table but at worst could go further down the league. So anyone looking at the Championship with misty, nostalgic eyes.....good luck to you, it’s definitely not for me. People go on about the board failing to invest and often quote our net spend relative to other teams as justification. I don't necessarily agree with that analysis. I am more concerned that our last three high value signings...have cost us £50MM and have done nothing. It is quality of signings that is important not cost. What guarantee is there that if we open up the cheque book again we will add value? What has changed in our transfer strategy to give us that confidence. It is pretty clear that Lambert has only been marginally involved in the Jan signings. One plus point is that we seem to do a better job in the £5MM range than the £12MM+ when it comes to transfers. This will be useful in the Championship where cash will be tighter.

If we end up in the Championship so be it, watchjed them play lower and higher over the last fifty years. I prefer higher but what will be will be and in the end a win against Aldershot or Arsenal is a win and will be celebrated accordingly.

We cant score goals let alone win. We’re actually not THAT bad at scoring goals. There are FIVE other teams who have scored less than us and if we’d have converted our penalties a lot more than that. What both of them?

Can't see us winning any of the remaining fixtures..other sides will use Stoke as there must win games too and will go for it ,Stoke are going to have to score 2 maybe 3 to win ..and we just haven't got the strikers or the positive play under lambert to do it .....I so hope I'm wrong

Newcastle surely have to be the model to follow. Went down, sold Wijnaldum, Sissoko for good money (we'd sell Jack, Shaq and Allen for 60m+) others left on loan like Thauvin.
They used the money wisely bringing in players with Champ experience like Ritchie and Gayle and fired straight back up. Their board is useless and they still invested and got back to the Premier league. I for one think it will be an interesting season in the Championship with some good away days, if we stay up it will be another season of under investment and we will be here again in 12 months time.

to some extent if we went down then a fair few of them players need to leave ,lets face it we are where we are because they have not been good enough ,we can blame the manager etc but once that team on on the pitch its down to them to perform to there best abilities, the Manger etc dont make the silly mistakes we have seen , i am not saying the manger etc have no blame to take but once the kick off starts its down to the team to do the buisness

Well,
let's see where we are after 1-1 vs Man City and a 2-0 win against Everton.
One step at a time. If, after these four points, not at least 17th, we're going down.
