We're choosing between poison, burning to death or drowning at this point.
There are no good options.

Away from home where he can stretch the opposition he's a decent option. At home though, he's largely been useless when played as a lone CF.

Why why why Diouf ?? He works like a dog up and down scores fluke Odd goals but he is CRAP why play him ?explain Why ? Because we have not signed a decent striker for the last five transfer windows, thanks to Mr 3 ninth place finishes we have a wing back, a 37 year old immobile telegraph pole and Berahinogoals to fire us out of the mess he has put us in that's why.

For all the good our,So called, strikers are we may as well persist with the young lad, Campbell. He has pace to stretch defences as much as Diouf and he will improve given more time on the pitch. Have Crouch on the bench to come on as a sub.

Agree. Diouf is not perfect (if he were he wouldn't be playing for us) but I just can't see any better option.

I like how people blame our strikers for lack of goals. The truth is we play too negative against mediocre teams, we don't create enough chances for any striker to prove themselves. At the moment Shaq is finding his scoring touch but you can hardly say its team work, its just that he has the ability to score from difficult situations. Unfortunately, strikers don't operate like that, they require help from the team and when that team is more concerned about conceding goals than scoring goals, strikers will miss out. The problem is, our defending has been second class this season, which is why we are in this situation now.

Ramadan on the left, Choupo up top. God no, Moting can't play the position and deserves to be dropped to the bench given recent performances.

Why why why Diouf ?? He works like a dog up and down scores fluke Odd goals but he is CRAP why play him ?explain Why ? I agree with you mate, apart from this works like a dog. He doesn't understand when to start his run. Against Leicester I thought he was lazy. 5 times a high ball was played to max. Diouf stood still 15 yards away from him. He should have been working to get closer. He looks like he's working hard, but in fact he is chasing down because he was in the wrong spot to start with. His heading is dog shit. His shooting is dog shit, his control is dog shit, he ability to run with the ball is dog shit. Start with Jese for me, at least he can control, pass, run with the ball.

Why why why Diouf ?? He works like a dog up and down scores fluke Odd goals but he is CRAP why play him ?explain Why ? Because he is a valuable squad member who can and does cover any role asked of him to the best of his ability, why do so called supporters have to have to slag off our own players?

He is one of the few we have with decent pace, he is strong and works hard. You can always say he isn't good enough, but overall he is our best option up front. Crouchy is more of an impact player for the last half an hour as I see it now, and Campbell didn't look close to be the answer yet last Saturday. When it comes to Berahino I think his contribution in football for the last 2 years speaks for itself! The only option for Diouf up front is actually Chapou, but we certainly lose a lot when it comes to workrate, he is much better on the ball though.

Because there isn’t a better option.
Crouch means we can’t press from the front and lets the opposing defence push up.
Saido’s crap.
Tyrese isn’t ready.
Jese isn’t a striker and we’ve looked entirely toothless in the games he’s started up front.
Choupo hasn’t particularly impressed there either, save for a fine goal at Brighton.

Mame has scored five goals for us this season in the league plus he has had another two goals deflected. If that counts as 7 then he is our joint topscorer this season along with Shaqiri (if not he's our second top).
Which makes me ask why do we need supporters that want to get rid of a player like that and question whether he's ever done any good for us.
As far as I'm concerned he never stops trying, and then I can live with his limited ball controls etc.

I think we all know that 10 years in the Premier, we should have better options. It is not mames fault, hughes signed him.
