I was in the Boothen Paddock that day with my dad. The thing was, the weather didn't seem to get any worse(from memory the snow eased off a bit?), and the Stoke fans were going spare when it was abandoned. Bloody hell the years have flown! I was in the Boothen End and you're right the fans went mad when it was abandoned. Looking at that video though the playing conditions were pretty awful weren't they. It's typical Stoke to lose at the second attempt ! Yes, Garth was struggling a bit, wasn't he? 😜 Point being, why wait until we go two up before abandoning it? Was that Sammy Irvine scoring?

Swansea at home, midweek, about four years ago for me. High winds throughout the area all day, I spent most of that game trying to curl into a ball. I remember hoping the match would be called off and two of my mates (season ticket holders) stayed in the pub instead. This game was a sickener it was that cold. Wasn’t there one where we played Fulham in the snow, it was absolutely raw

Grimsby away in an FA Cup tie around 1987 during a blizzard.
Oldham at home when it was abandoned at half time.
Come to think of it most games involving Grimsby and Oldham away.

Huddersfield away early 90's, New year's day in their end drinking ice cold lager! Seated grounds don't exactly help you warm up!
