I think it was 1 - 1, Carl Saunders, in the run leading up to losing to Coventry the year they won it. You think you were cold, my brother and I made the mistake of chosing to sit in the main "Findus" stand rather than stand in the away end. We were perched above the pitch facing the North Sea with a gale blowing straight at us. The standing fans behind the goal looked to us like they were in the Bahamas! I think this will be the winner for loads of people, because we took an extroadinary number of fans for Grimsby away 3rd round I remember, counting the coaches filling the backstreets. must have been near me in the Findus stand then

Another one here for Grimsby away in January 1987. Not only the coldest I’ve been at a football match, but probably the coldest I’ve ever been in my life. That was a cold one! and I remember my dad and brother travelling to another Grimsby match that was called off when they got there That's just reminded of that day, in the back of a Luton van with a couple of settees 'for comfort', obviously no heating, we had set off but heard it got cancelled and think we ended up at a Walsall game

Stoke v Sunderland 2012 , sat right at the bottom of the stand, covered in snow, in a blizzard, Huth got sent off after about 5 mins, kept shouting at the ref to call it off. lost 0-1. and was a crap game.

Boxing Day 0-0 versus Preston - 2006 maybe. It was a frozen turd of a match. Yes, that's mine. A half empty Brit was as bleak and cold and wind swept a place as you could ever not wish to see! Does anyone know what the temperature actually was? The Brit looked and felt like some hideous freezing concrete monstrosity right out of pre-perestroika Eastern Europe, one straight out of Siberia. An afternoon of debilitating cold and a football match which offered absolutely nothing at all for the perishing punters! It was so cold and tedious I left at half time. Coldest I'd ever been in my life.

We had sick & piss sloshing around in our Luton. It was akin to being in a cattle truck 🤮

That was horrendous I remember the wind blowing a copper’s helmet off which sadly was the highlight of the afternoons entertainment. To make matters worse my dad won a couple of tickets for the game from Radio Stoke in a competition and the seats were at the front of the Q Railing stand with no cover from the monsoon. Radio Stoke cheapskates. Sammy Plank out 😉

Burnley opening day a couple of years back. No wonder they had a Findus Stand. Only thing that warmed me up that day was being chased by third fans down the back streets after the match.

Grimsby away must have been 1980’s game was a draw took me two days to get warm Definitely this game. Warmish weather in Stoke with some lads just wearing T shirts and Stoke tops. Baltic conditions in Grimsby with a flurry of snow off the North Sea for good measure. I broke my record for the number of bovrils I drank that day.

2003 New Years day at home to Sheff Utd, massively hung over and it was so cold the hand break cable on my car had frozen stuck from leaving it at the pub the night before.

Sunderland at home in Feb 2012 when it snowed
Huth was sent off in the first half when his slide tackle in the snow carried him on like he was on a bob sleigh
we lost
the game should have been abandoned but it carried on, my mates left at half time, I lasted until 70 mins, a copper helped me light a fag as I couldn't even manage that as I walked past the Audi garage

Crystal Palace in an FA Cup replay at the Brit a few years ago. Was January, basically nobody there and it was utterly freezing with spots of snow. We were winning for a decent chunk of the game, then we conceded a late penalty which Glenn Murray scored forcing us to endure another half an hour of extra time, which we subsequently went on to comfortably win. Grim grim weather though. Very cold.

Took me nearly 5 hours to get from the ground to Longton ( via Clayton with my lad )
The A500 was almost undriveable as was Clayton bank

Swansea at home, midweek, about four years ago for me. High winds throughout the area all day, I spent most of that game trying to curl into a ball. I remember hoping the match would be called off and two of my mates (season ticket holders) stayed in the pub instead. is that display picture of you at that game? A close approximation 😊

At home to Rochdale in The Autoglass.. That was the game when they came out in our away kit, as theirs clashed with ours.
