What a cracking job of football management that was. If Paul can keep that combination of attitude and composure flowing through the squad from here on in and never miss a beat we have a real chance of staying up - and that's the best we can ask. Bad mistake for their goal but Jack compensated right afterwards. In the scheme of things we really did feel good for an away win against a decent side (ok not at their best) and how many times have Stokies been able to say that this season?
9 from me

10 first half. 7 second half purely down to the subs. Overall a decent 8. I don't think we'll stay up but I'd like to think Lambert would be the man to rebuild in the championship.

9 I'm one of the rare few who thinks hes doing a decent enough job, 1 defeat in 5 ( against in form Bournemouth) defence is much more tighter and organized, we've got a chance of staying up now whereas before with Hughes we were down, keep the faith.

9 for me we looked sharp solid and fitter, we worked as hard as anything I've seen for years, we were well organised and unlucky not to come away with all 3 points, we did look shaky after Jacks error and rode our luck a bit. Gouranga.

8 - I'm all for giving the youngsters a chance yet the Adam change was poor. Could hear him shouting throughout the match and that sort of passion is crucial in our survival

7. Replace Choupo with Sobhi next game and don’t let Adam anywhere near the pitch. Lots to be happy about, just choked about the fortunes the last 2 games.

6.5 Made some big calls with the initial team selection and defended very well. Has got the likes of Shaq mucking in off the ball as well.
Those substitutions were nothing short of disastrous though.

Perfect first half, improved the team physically and defensively, then destroyed all of this by making the wrong subs. Agreed, each sub made us worse. He's definitely improved us as a whole which is commendable but we just haven't got enough games to make these mistakes, both the players and the managers subs.

7 - He set us up well today, we looked organised, hungry and carried a real threat on the break. Bringing on Adam and Johnson was nearly suicidal for us, he should have bought Sobhi on for Choupo and kept Bruno on unless he was absolutely unable to continue and bought Jese on instead of Johnson - he wouldn't have gone missing for the equaliser, although, ultimately, the blame has to lie with Jack - that was amateurish goalkeeping.

Ramadan unused when Choupo was plainly ineffective Can we really afford to gamble playing a raw Tyrese Campbell at such a crucial time when Jese is on the bench Johnson...? Strewth...

7 he was on for a 9 before he changed Bruno for Adam then Johnson when he had Jese on the bench . But superb to see them organised and fighting as a team again . If we can keep that up and score a couple more goals we have a chance to escape .

I feel pissed off with that and I feel like repeatedly punching him in the head for those subs.
"All good signs... If we can keep that up..." not good enough, it needs to be now!

Good subs I thought apart from the lack of Ramadan or Jese for Choupo-Moting. He couldn't have known Adam was going to have such a shocker as he's been one of our positives this season.

8 first half dug in and made a game of it with a much better attitude from the players.
6 second half , poor subs and at the wrong time. (If it aint broke don't fix it) HE is the manager, he should know if Campbell was ready or not and the Charlie sub, well what did he tell him before he went on, go end your career fella?
7 overall

Substitutions were truly horrendous , Campbell selection exposed as desperation , continued seiection of Choupo defies logic , he’s added a bit of energy but so would any other championship manager

He was on target for a perfect 10 but the events of the last 20 minutes have to knock 3 points off leaving a score of 7.
He can't be held responsible for Butland's disastrous mistake but bringing Adam on was an absolutely terrible substitution which so nearly lost us the game. And not bringing Ramadan on for Choupo was poor judgement. Campbell was ineffective but so was Diouf so no criticism for that substitution he was right to try something and reward Campbell's efforts in the U23s.
Such a shame because he got everything right with his starting line up and tactics in the first 70 minutes.
