Shrewsbury vs stoke or Stoke vs Arsenal All of the 92-93 season Stoke v Stockport (at Wembley not the playoff) Peterborough v Stoke Stoke v Bristol (at Wembley) Cardiff v Stoke Shining lights in a morass of shite. Just off the top of my head. There have been others It's all relative and doesn't have to be Premier League related. Sometimes beating Shrewsbury 4-0 in the 1st division can be a better feeling than losing 4-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League. I enjoyed the following. West brom away2-1 win. 94 I think West brom 4-3 home. Craning winner Wembley 92. 2-1 utd stein The whole of lou mc's time Rotherham 2-0 Cardiff. And Cardiff play off final. And loads miee

Why is it when a thread is started about another team within 2 posts of the new thread some fucker has to drag Stoke into it, "we'll be worse" or " that's us". So negative all the fucking time, the truth is we haven't been relegated and neither have Sunderland for that matter, in fact both teams could survive.

That was the point of my post. Mine was a quick 30 second trawl through my foggy memory. The point I was making was that to the post 2008'ers everything before that was 'The Dark Years' when in actually fact it wasn't all bad, not by a long chalk. I'm not saying I relish the trip back to the Championship, mainly because of the fear that it might not end there a la Portsmouth, Coventry, Blackpool, Blackburn etc. but there were definitely loads of great times in the lower leagues during 'The Dark Years'.

We've had quite a bit of banter with Sunderland fans over the past few seasons but I've got to be honest now and say I feel sorry for them. The way their club is being run is shocking and they deserve better. Why Coleman took that job I'll never understand, he surely must've known how fucked the situation is?!
