I remember it well. Mainly down to the fact that he didn't even have the ability to jump when a cross came in 😲 And some people think this year is a poor season?

Indeed
I was there that night along with a few hundred other hardy souls
We embraced Chris Kamaras appointment in a similar way to the way we have embraced Paul Lamberts !!

Think lightbourne also made debut that night ? Not opened link The article says Dean Crowe: "Lightbourne had just joined from Coventry for £500,000 and told the Sentinel: “I am in good shape. My aim is to score enough goals to keep Stoke in Division One.” He cried off with flu two hours before kick-off and Chris Kamara’s fifth winless game in charge ended in a 0-0 draw. Dean Crowe, making his first start, hit the post."

Wasn’t Xausas the first Yank to play for Stoke? Will have a place in our history simply because he will be the only entry under ‘X’ in a Stoke City A-Z

Being the first ‘X’ is still quite an achievement, I hope there’s an anniversary special from the sentinel

Think lightbourne also made debut that night ? Not opened link He was meant to but had a blood disease. I drove up from Brum to Bury as he was meant to be starting. Wouldn't have bothered otherwise. We were fucking dreadful in that run in. The two defeats at Oxford and Reading were amongst the worst I've ever seen. Oh and Crewe and the three nil at home to Tranmere with that fat fucker in goal. We are shit now but the end of that season was as bad as it gets. I hope. 🙄

I don't remember David Xausa. I just remember his name. I'm assuming that's all there was to remember.
