Would we of been better or worse off with Glen Whealan and John Walters still at the club using There experience in the dressing room and on the pitch when needed, there best days may be over but we miss there experience. We actually practically gave these two away and replaced them with two free transfers.

Whelan no - it was time to move on unfortunately we gave his role to Fletcher who in fairness looked the business for the first few games subsequently he’s been wank, Walters no he's been injured for most of the season. Gouranga.

I'd be more hopeful with them in the dressing room than not.

They were both better than what we have now but were unfortunately past their sell by date.

Whelan was on his last legs, but he was still better than Fletcher .A fit Jon Walters would certainly be more effective than Berihino.

Whelan needed replacing and Walters has barely played.
They would have made no difference and were here when we were this shit last season too.

Rewriting of history again
Walters and Whelan were part of the problems last season when we were getting battered by all and sundry
Why would we want them back ?

We couldnt be any worse than we are now. Cant keep a clean sheet and can't score.
Could do with a few more experienced pros with a bit of grit and determination in the dressing room, not joirneymen mercenaries who couldnt give a fook.

Walters is a conceited tool and Whelan publically called N’Goy “fucking shit”.
Why on earth would we want those pair here?

Rewriting of history again Walters and Whelan were part of the problems last season when we were getting battered by all and sundry Why would we want them back ? That was another myth that got thrown about. That we didn't get battered when the British and Irish lads played. Of course it was a load of old horsewank but when did the truth ever matter.

Slightly better but not much
This season has been disjointed and confusing
The old heads may have managed things better as they had worked together so long
Keeping Arnautovic would see us 10-12th

Well Walters has been permanently injured and Whelan was done at this level.
Unbelievable that it is though we replaced him with the sake fucking model.

I never battered Whelan and he's infinitely superior to Fletcher who would struggle to keep pace in an u10's game.
Walters no as proven by his tome at Burnley where he's been shite and injured.

If we still had them the club would be being accused of a lack of ambition ... people would be saying we told you to get rid years ago (see last season's posts) ... people would want to know why they were keeping you younger, better players out of the side.
Fletcher is a very good player but not (by all accounts) at the moment but should be a positive in the dressing room. Walters is having knee surgery so perhaps on a par with Berahino at the moment.

Good shout. Waaaaay better imho, ok they were getting to need scooters to get around the pitch on a bad day but for commitment, loyalty and above all both of them knowing what was best for a game at a particular moment, they were a grievous loss. No coincidence how exposed Ryan's looked since they left, as the final remaining part of the Pulis spine - we're only seeing now in the rear view mirror what a rare creation that was. It would probably only have been one more season out of W & W but what a difference that season might have made

Whelan has never contributed as little to the cause as Imbula, Fletcher, Affelay or Ireland have this season.
Walters has always given us more than Jesse and Betahino have given this season.
Whilst I understand the decision to let them both go, there are at least six midfielders and strikers who are currently Stoke players that are not fit to lace Whelan's or Walters' boots.

Certainly better than waste of a strip.
