Thought he was one of the few shining lights today. Came on and instantly gave us an outlet on the left. Looked sharp and has a footballers brain. More of the same please mate.. Disappointed with Ndiaye, looks disinterested. Berahino needs to start, all these cameo performances are just stretching his unwanted goal drought Choupo - adds nothing, and for a big bloke is brushed off the ball so easily Fletcher - legs have gone

It made me laugh. People slating Choupo for a lack of effort then stunned silence when Jese didn't jump for a header that was greater than 50/50 in his favour.
Good fishing here fella. I'm sure you'll get a few bites.
I won't mention the penalty tantrum.

Berahino needs to start, all these cameo performances are just stretching his unwanted goal drought Berahino being shit, and not appearing to give one, is just stretching his unwanted goal drought. Nothing else. If you'd been at the Ricoh for his 90 minute performance against league 2 opposition, you'd never want to see him near a Stoke shirt ever again.

Anything good he did was overshadowed by the bullshit he pulled for the pen, as soon as he's told Adam is taking it thats it, shut up and prepare for any rebound, wanted to be a hero and threw a hissy fit when he wasn't allowed.

Think he’s a breathe of fresh air! We looked miles better with Fletcher off and Berahino and Jese on the pitch... shock horror!!!

Tbf mate ...forget that penalty bollocks we only started to look like a team when he came on I thought it was the shift to two up front that improved us, rather than Jese. Each to their own. I thought we came to life when he came on, which surprised me because he’s generally looked lost when I’ve seen him previously (I missed the Arsenal game). The penalty bollocks totally overrides everything though. Completely self serving and massively unprofessional. Frankly, the way he acted was borderline mentally unstable. We owe him nothing. It had to be Charlie or Shaq taking the penalty.

It's not self serving if he was bang up for it and that confident he'd score and win us the game. Would have been interested had Charlie not been on the pitch to have seen who took the penalty.

Shaq should have been given the ball by the CAPT Shawcross quite why he felt he couldn’t sort out Jesé and Adam and use his common sense and give the ball to Shaq after all he’d already scored one and he’s adept at getting the ball in the net where the keeper can’t reach it !

Penalty aside, the keeper had nothing to do. It's ultimately splitting hairs. We weren't good enough across the board in what was our most important game for over 10 years. Jese is the epitome of why clubs like us end up in this mess. Players that couldn't give a toss about anything other than themselves.

That would make no sense at all. There was already one unhappy player going mental out there. If Shawcross has tried to take the ball off Adam there’d have been carnage. And why would he take the pen off Adam anyway. He’d never missed one for us as a number of people have been saying all night. I’d have preferred it if Shaqiri had been given the job, simply because he’d scored already and looked up for it. But I couldn’t logically argue against Charlie, given the number he’s scored for us from the spot. Saying he shouldn’t have taken it is the ultimate in hindsight.

Wanting to take it isn’t self serving. It’s admirable. His totally disruptive full on strop afterwards was ridiculous. And completely selfish.

For me Shaq ability and goalscoring record says if he’s on the pitch he takes the penalty if Shawcross is man enough to be capt and tells a player he’s making the executive decision anyway as your capt you accept it end of its different if another player says he’s taking it, if the capt tells you you are or aren’t taking it you have to respect the decision. I can’t see how Adam is the dedicated penalty taker anyway as he hardly ever starts a game!

There’s no way Shawcross should be attempting to take the ball off Adam. He needed to calm a situation down, not create one.
