Hi all im a massive stoke fan been all over the world supporting stoke for 30 odd years! I have also run pubs in stoke i have met up with the manager of Georgey browns and come to a agreemnt that i run the pub on a match day. With being a stoke follower and running a pub of my own i know excatly what us fans want on a match day there is going to be big changes with a family party atmosphere on match days!i spoke to alot of stoke fans this pub is the biggest pub in stoke town centre and we are going to get the same kind of atmosphere in here as you would get at a away game at a whetherspoons town centre just to let you know a little bit about the pub it has a pool table, dart board that will be available before 12pm its got two massive bars which we plan to have 3 girls serving behind each bar so even though we are expecting up to a 150 people next weekend for my first day when stoke play Brighton i can guarantee you will not be queing for a drink!! Even between our busiest period 12_2pm there is plenty of seated areas as it is a massive pub!also has a big beer garden and smoking area where you can take your glasses and bottles out next weekend for my first day there will be a dj on between 11.30am and 2.30pm where it will play any requests before or after the game your welcome to have a good old sing song unlike the Talbot next door!!! Where the manager barred around 30 stoke fans for singing stoke songs im also gonna put on a large breakfast buffett where you can help yourself to as much as you can eat at around 11am for you early birds we will be open at 10.30am and close at 2am we also be playing stoke dvds on large screen tv's before and after the game the sound to the tv's will be going off around 11.30 12 due to the dj starting this pub is going to be a right stoke fans pub so any ideas or suggestions will definitely be listened to!after next weekend we will be doing a full English breakfast for just £1! Between 10.30am and 12pm as we are aiming to get people in nice and early is there any stoke dvd requests? For before the Brighton game the pub also has all sports channels if there is a big game before or after stoke thank you and hopefully see you all next Saturday on the 10th just two things that i would like to say to you although children and youngsters are welcome in the pub the bar will be strict on challenge 25 and the pub has a zero tolerance to any drug taking!! Anyone caught taking drugs on the premises will be barred for life! Many thanks Danny and Mike

Stopped going in there along with about eight others. Firstly the beer was shit. You have to get some proper ale on. Secondly even when it was empty you took ten minutes to get served. Thirdly for a big pub there was hardly any seats.
Anyway mate good luck with it maybe give it a try before the season ends

Sorry my grammer is terrible as i said next weekend is my first weekend in the pub i have heard all the bad feedback main 2 problems was the beer and toilets being upstairs there is a new supplier starting this week for the beer one of my first requests to the management was to have the lines cleaned and flushed the night before or morning of a game and the disabled toilet downstairs will constantly be open on a match day like i said the pub has been very quiet for a long time im here to make big changes as i know what us fans want from a pub any problems or issues will be addressed and the toilets are booked in for a full refurbishment in the next 2 months the pub will be decorated with red and white scarves and flags if you want any of your own flags put up om match days your more than welcome to bring them on match days thanks please give us a try the pub will be a different pub than it used to be thank you.........

Do you pour ale as quickly as you type?
If so that's a good start
And tell me more about these "three girls serving behind each bar"
Photos or they didn't happen

Try and avoid plastic glasses when the footy's not on. It makes beer taste shit.

Travelling as I do, I won't be coming in...however, I wish you all the luck in the World.
Grammar and punctuation aside, you clearly have a passion for what you are doing and have some great ideas to try and turn around what was clearly an ailing boozer
I hope every reading this can feel your enthusiasm and, if possible, get themselves to your pub and give it a try...sounds like they might be pleasantly surprised
Cheers LP

What beers do you keep I also spent my working life in the licensed trade I think anybody trying to improve a failing pub deserves a bit of appreciation Especially as the pub appears close to a spoons pub which has done more damage to the trade then anything in the last 20 years

Maybe the pubs would be more popular if they let the punters sniff the pipe cleaning fluid?

We drink in there before games from time to time. As long as you can still get to the bar as easy we're happy.
