If fitness is an issue for us, why not approach the game in smaller chunks? Minute 1 to 20, high tempo Minute 21 to 35, slow it down Minute 36 to 45, high tempo Etc, etc, etc Not sure the players would understand that confusing mathematical equation. Why?

Jesus f Christ some of the posts on the opening page are way too pessimistic. “It’s over already” is it fuck! We’re in trouble, that is true, but we’ve got the ability to get out of this mess and I still firmly believe we will earn enough points to put this miserable season in the past and come back stronger next year. What is it about our team, our performances, results etc that makes you think we will get out of trouble?

Not sure the players would understand that confusing mathematical equation. Why? They can't hold on to a 1-0 nil lead at Bournemouth...

If we beat Brighton it doesn't mean we'll stay up but if we lose I think we will almost certainly go down.

I'd definitely play Shaq Diouf Sobhi up top. Bring Choupo on to impact the game from 60/70 with Crouch if necessary. Unfortunately, we can't play Lambert's pressing game for 90 mins with our fitness as it is. That frontline has one decent left foot between them.

Whoever is in the team, however we are playing, we the fans need to be up for this... loud and hostile is the order of the day.

FFS Five of the team barely have to move at all. At at least three of the other six choose not to.

Looking at our squad and looking at theirs, then looking at how they play as a team, we should be winning to nil. Easily. We won't, but we should be. Shows just how shite we've been.

Dont look that awful. They have their new record signing striker on bench for his first game since joining as well. One of the best defences in the bottom half of the league. Dont know about hammering.

Nothing will be over or finished if we win or lose on Saturday, there's a third of the season to go. A lot can happen, no matter how bleak it looks, it is NEVER over until it's over. Swansea, WBA, West Ham and Palace have all been "dead and buried" at points this season. It's bleak....but it's not inevitable.

I read somewhere Zaha could be out for a few weeks, palarse are going to struggle without him, same as at start of the season.HOWEVER, their fans might pull them thru unlike ours, never stop chanting, we never stop MOANING.

I hope we've been practicing set pieces, both defending & taking. Let's start scoring from set pieces, again...
Looks like it's going to be 'orrible weather an'all. Great!

I would honestly start Campbell and diouf up front. We need PACE. We are lacking serious pace, right now, we couldnt do any worse. Campbell would score more than berahino, mark my words.

Probably need another 14 points to stay up. Can't see us getting anything near that. Nonsense! The bottom three will not get thirty five points!

Why not ask Linford Christie to bring his boots? It is one thing wanting pace but Diouf is another matter. Cannot fault his mental attitude but he is just not effective enough. The front three IMO should be Jese, Berahino and Shaqiri. midfield should definitely be Allen, Cameron and NDiaye Back four: Bauer, Shawcross, Zouma and Pieters Butland in goal This is our best eleven!

I'd go 442
Butland
Bauer Shawcross Zouma Pieters
Shaq Allen Badou Jese
Diouf Campbell
Attack as a team, defend as a team.
